Cone of Cold is great. I always get 2-for-1s with it. You just have to set it up with the Mage fire pinging and spell damage increases.

cone of cold is pretty good for delay as well, don't underestimate the freeze effect.

Delays are good if that's the entire deck's purpose. For Arena, not so much. Spell damage is fine too if you've got it through something like Archmage Thalanos or Azure Drake, but any other sources of are usually subpar cards that go down quickly.

That was because velen, it doubles damage of spells/healing

Blargh, I've been trying to rank up in Constructed lately, but it gets kinda hard when you are overrun by Jaaraxus or whatever summoning 6/6 Infernos for 2 mana and then using Caine and Alexstraza all in 1-2 turns. Some of these legendary cards are just O.o! Well with my budget Shaman deck I have managed to get to rank 15. Though I noticed that match making doesn't take into account the quality of your deck at all, only your record. Sometimes when I'm trying weak newbie decks of classes I don't main I end up against a person with 4 legends in his deck blargh.

caine and alextraza aren't all that great too be honest, jaraxxus is sort of a timer on the game, you got to win fast after he is used. The good thing about him is that the player uses their entire turn and doesn't really put anything on the board that turn.

I am currently Rank 12 or 11, only legendary I own is Nat Pagle

I've seen multiple combos like that, I wish I had cenarius, I main Druid.

x.x It would be convenient if we could trade cards like in irl. Though I'm not sure what impacts that would have on the game's balance. I actually tried druid for awhile. I really liked all the mana abuse tricks they can throw out. It's like the opposite of Shaman's Overload haha, but I ended up with 10 mana and nothing to spend it on sometimes. I found that I liked the burst damage that Shamans can put out a lot more fun for me. Srsly making your harmless Totems into an army of death with Bloodlust or wtf suddenly 12 dmg from rockbiter weapons + windfury is a ton of fun. Though for Shamans having control of the board is critical, which can get annoying if the enemy ends up killing everything you send out as soon as it pops up.

Druids are awesome because they're late game beasts if you set them up properly. In constructed you can have 2 Ancients of War and 2 Ironbark Protectors for maximum destruction, not to mention all their flexibility with 2 effects in 1 card. Swipe is also one of the best AOE cards, and Druids of the Claw are some of the best mid-range cards out there.

Now for Shamans, yes, board control is important, but they're also pretty spell heavy. You should have Lightning Storm and Hex in your deck, and it's important to manage your overload correctly, since that screws with many new players. If you do it right though, stuff like a turn 5 Earth Elemental followed by Windfury and Rockbiter the next turn can fuck over anyone who doesn't have hard removal. Fire Elemental is also one of the best cards in the game, so make sure to have 2 of those in your deck. On a side note, unless you're specifically running a Windfury + Rockbiter combo deck, you shouldn't have Windfury in your deck at all, since it's primarily a support card that usually either just does extra damage to the opponent or lets you 2 for 2, which isn't that good on Value. Oh, and never get Totemic Might, Ancestral Spirit, Dust Devil, or Ancestral Healing. They're not worth it.

Lol for someone who doesn't even play you sure sound knowledgeable about the game# You should try it though it's fun. Your right about those shaman cards. At one time I was all omg DOUBLE damage! And had four windfurys lol (two windspeakers). More often than not they sat in my hand all game cuz I could never put them to use.

I gave it a whirl for a while, but watching others play was much more fun than playing myself, since it's a pretty slow paced game and I don't usually have the patience for such things. Priest ended up being my favourite class to play just because it was easy to fuck over newbies who couldn't play around his hero ability and, frankly, quite broken removal. (Shadow Words are the best.)
