This may come of as facetious but I must unironically argue that Takeuchi's talents as an artist come through very strongly when drawing explicit content.

He's someone whose style's strong point lies in the dynamic of his posing, with the interplay and relative positioning of elements being what gives it strength. In this sense, despite his other weaknesses, Takeuchi is a fairly impressive artist. I bet he'd make an incredible storyboarder for anime.
But to tie in with my first statement, this quality which he excels at is exactly what any good sex scene requires. The

His compositions really are great, he's also great at subtle expressions, but I don't think that's what people look for in VN porn.

Besides, most people complain about the writing in the scenes anyway.

How can you put the curviest people in a group of characters, and they've basically got Hank Hill ass? That's a travesty but he did it.
I was honestly surprised that one illustration for the HF manga was actually Takeuchi. Maybe for that and Mashu, someone is standing over him and saying, "nope, make the chest bigger" because I think his mental space is veering toward "medium is premium", no matter the character.

He has his choice between two noses as opposed to one for the women, so a net gain in the schnozz department.

HF Shirou easily. It's probably the only Shirou i can say without a doubt that i like. Shirou's development with his ideals was interesting , but the ideals didn't appeal to me
