Elsa would really be a terrifying Lich Queen.

Just watched it, surprisingly enough one theatre was full up so we had to go to another, which was almost full anyhow.

I really, really liked it! The songs were well done, and I was impressed by the VA's singing. The narrative was really tight and well-delivered, and the whole story managed to be unique and original while also being well-written. Definitely one of the best Disney movies I've ever seen... and it kinda makes me want to go back and re-watch a few old classics, to see if they're as good as I remember.

Most of them do hold up pretty well - it depends on which movies you're talking about, specifically.

    Finally watched it!

...could have been better. I mean, it's nice, really, but the ED felt a bit like a cop-out. The "Act of True Love" was supposed to be just about healing Anna, yet by the end Elsa also has full control of her powers? Grandpapi troll, your advice sucks, could have avoided all this the first time you talk to her parents.

Possibly. Still, it's Disney's best non-Pixar effort in a while, so you have to give it appreciation for that alone. And, as I said, this movie, I would actually watch a sequel of - which, given Disney's non-Pixar sequel track record, says something. I can count the number of good Disney sequels on one hand, with fingers left over.

I'm still waiting for a The Incredibles sequel.

They made one, in videogame form. It was incredibly bad.

There's also the comic books - they're decent.

I can see why. I'm groaning and chuckling, simultaneously.

. . . Incidentally, I'm curious - where did you get the quote about gold that's in your signature?

I got it from an old fanfic. I only remember the quote because I wrote it on a piece of paper. I believe that it's a modified version of this quote from Childhood's End.
"It had been the Golden Age. But gold was also the color of sunset, of autumn."
