Started watching this show and am officially on episode 10 of season 1.
I like the Air Kids, Tenzin, Lin Bei Fong, Asami and sometimes Korra. Amon is badass.
I might actually dislike Mako. He's like Zuko but without most of the the stuff that made him deep and interesting.
And Bolin is okay but h's like a C grade Sokka. Sokka had the right balance of silliness and smarts. Bolin's kind of a nitwit.
Just give me time-traveling Sokka and Zuko, show!!! : C
Most people like Tenzin and his family. Lin as well, at least during Season 1. Amon is usually very well received as a villain.
Barely anyone likes Mako. He's bland, annoying, and gets put into the spotlight way too often.
People have mixed feelings on Bolin. Some people love him for his goofball nature in a pretty serious cast, while others dislike his constant clumsiness.

Also, I like Iroh II from what little I've seen from him. His voice takes some getting used to though.
It's the first thing I thought back in season 1 when they were introduced. They're both watered-down versions of better characters.
Personally, I can't say I enjoyed Iroh's reintroduction in the new series.
I found I like Bolin now because he had his heart broken. And also because of his movers career.
He's not nearly as indignant as Sokka, nor quite so active. He's a bumbling Oaf hero in a different way. I like him.
and he's more competent at fighting (at least moreso than pre-swordsman Sokka)

Judging by the influx of Airbenders, the spirits are helping pump some people up?
A lot of airbenders (and earthbenders), new characters develop bending, old characters and much more... it features a lot, but it keeps its secrecy. I really don't know what to expect.
Action game being made by Platinum Games. So that's a thing. Available this fall and downloadable so not as big an affair as some of their other games.
