I hate almost every Gil expy.
Spoiler:
Im sorry for your loss.
I haven't read Fragments yet so I might end up liking Ramesses.
Spoiler:
Gil expys tend to be great.
Its actually kind of funny that people regard Nero as a Saber clone when she was literally designed with the concept of "female roman Gil" in mind.
Too bad for her she's not even a poor man's Gilgamesh clone.
I thought she was closer to Alexander than Gil?
Spoiler:
I hate it when fanon breaks my canon.
Spoiler:
Wasn't Nero made cause Nasu was like "Alexander was a really wild character, I wanna make something like that too"
Or so I remember from the Q&A session....
Uro thought she looked like a female Gil, but it doesn't really go further than that.Originally Posted by Q&A Nasu Kinoko X Takeuchi Takashi X Urobuchi Gen - Special Forum

Insert something about how I'm too busy playing HSR to post here.
The complaints about that scene were more just how the liberties ufotable took when adapting the scene made it farfetched compared to the VN. But since you brought up the subtlety thing, let's quote Merriam-Webster's online dictionary:
Subtlety
: the quality or state of being subtle
: a small detail that is usually important but not obvious
Tell me, where in the anime adaptation of Desperate Projection there was small visual (i.e. facial expression, maybe some sort of Instinct thing) or minor dialogue clue that implied that Saber getting back up meant that Kuzuki would not be able to defeat her again.
When the degree of subtlety you can do amounts to a brick to the face, don't try for subtlety.>Complains about Ufotable not being subtle, like having Gill tell why he's leaving them alive.
I don't even care anymore...
Random question: so when UBW talks about Shirou not becoming Archer in his future, do they mean that he won't become a Heroic Spirit / CG, or that he won't become embittered?
If he is still going to become a Heroic Spirit, what does that mean? Is there another HS EMIYA out there in the Throne somewhere, or is he somehow part of the existing EMIYA already?
He never sleeps. He never dies.
Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Yes?
Spoiler:
I thought he only became embittered after death? So no contract = no embitterment I guess
Linger: Complete. August, 1995. I met him. A branch off Part 3. Mikiya keeps his promise to meet Azaka, and meets again with that mysterious girl he once found in the rain.
Shinkai: Set in the Edo period. DHO-centric. As mysterious figures gather in the city, a young woman unearths the dark secrets of the Asakami family.
The Dollkeeper: A Fate side-story. The memoirs of the last tuner of the Einzberns. A record of the end of a family.
Overcount 2030: Extra x Notes. A girl with no memories is found by a nameless soldier, and wakes up to a world of war.
Also, given all the talk about how explicating everything was bad, here's the same guy again from last week: http://rereadsandreviews.com/2015/05/31/ubw-21/
It looks like being explicit was actually received pretty well.

I always thought it meant that Shirou would be doing pretty much the same thing, just not making a contract with Alaya and Rin making him take a break from the hero thing every now and again.
Can Shirou even become a heroic spirit with out making a contract and being a CG?
