And his point was it is a contest of armories not junk shops. Whatever number you put there, UBW can counter most things that actually matter in battle.
Except Divine Constructs and none bladed weapons. Like the nukes and such the Viama had.

Nope.He can make anything. He can trace a fucking lot of shit, like blankets,Bows fishing rods, shields, whatever. The only limitation is really the mana cost. The cost and strain of making blades is just infinitelly less because of his origin and RM.
Specifically limited to close-combat weaponry. Shields happen to be in that category.
He can project a lot of things.
UBW only has melee weapons.

I find it highly debateable, unlikely even, that there was anything in the gate that would have done Gil more good then the swords he was pulling out when shirou was pressing him backwards.
I mean I can see reasons for why he wouldn't pull out anything out but swords, but your statement is so wrong it hurts.

Considering Gilgamesh considered himself to have been completely humiliated to have to resort to his strongest weapon against shirou, it follows that if he had a way to spare himself that humiliation, he would have done so.
Don't say "nothing he could've pulled out would've helped" and then backpedal to "w-well, nothing he would pull out", because the former implies the will to use the stuff.
