If Mela Lee would have used a voice closer to this part in the trailer I think it would have been great. Keep it nearer that level, anyway.

Where'd this happen? I know that when Rin was saying the chant the subs used the engrish version rather than the japanese version, but blanking where else it could have been a problem. Shirou/Gil fight?

Yes, the final duel.

The dub used the English version of the chant which is quite different than the words that come out of his mouth.

It's a consequence excessively absurd chuu2 use of ruby text to say two things at once but it just makes more sense for adult Archer to be chanting in English and maybe thinking something else in Japanese, while Shirou chants in Japanese and kind of knows the other side from Archer osmosis.

Obviously you shouldn't have him chant in Japanese in a English dub but it would have been good to at least have him say something different than Archer.

Archer's and Shirou's chants are practically word-for-word for the first half of the chant in japanese. The major difference is that Archer speaks in engrish (wit the actual japanese being spoken by Rin in that one opening dream sequence) while Shirou speaks in japanese

No idea, but don't both the original and RN versions of F/SN have Shirou's chant in japanese text while Archer's chant is displayed in broken english? Or was that something that became popularized with DEEN's adaptation?
