I beg to differ
What is supposed to physically happen in the Shirou/Gilgamesh fight again? There *is* more than the summoning of the Reality Marble and swords being hurled at each other out of thin air, right? Because that'd be kind of boring. I know the sword spamming in episode 23 was enough to bore some people already.
Where does it say that?
To tell you the truth, that's also how I always pictured the fight, because it's a bit impossible for Shirou to get close to Gil by only parrying his NPs.
Look, I even made a drawing to illustrate the situation.
Spoiler:
And then Shirou closes the gap and Gil is forced to hand to hand. Please notice the emphasis of those speedlines behind Shirou (left) to denote how fast he's going

I know that says Onore, but it looked like Gil is saying "Divorce" to me the first time I looked.

I think you're reading too much into it. It's just an artsy scene transition to let you know the fight's started while we fly off and watch something less interesting for a bit.
I mean, you're free to your interpretation but don't act like it's set in stone or anything.
its highly unlikely shiorou wasnt firing swords as well as swinging them, since its noted in the game he starts levitating them to ready for gil's attack
"Reality Marble. So this is your ability…!"
I take a step forward.
Stuck in the ground next to me are the swords that are floating behind Gilgamesh.
"There's no need to be surprised. These are all imitations.
As you say, these are all trifling swords."
I reach out my arms.
The swords come out as if to accept me as their user.
"But there is no rule that an imitation cannot defeat the original.
If you say you are the original, I shall surpass every one of your weapons and destroy your existence."
I move forward.
In front of me is the Servant with a thousand treasures.
The Japanese is more along the lines of "the swords in the ground slip out easily as if accepting me as their wielder" which makes it sound like he's pulling them out. Sword in the stone imagery and whatnot.
Ea is like the child that goes into the foster system.

Tbh ive had enough action this season, all Im looking forward to now is Archers farewell and Epilogue
I wonder if we will get the post-credit scene, probably not.
If Shirou was firing the swords wouldn't it be to dangerous to engage in melee without risking getting shot by a stray sword? He's not that good with swords that he wouldn't get blind sided. That and the marble would collapse faster seeing house that would burn more mana to replace and repair.
Spoiler:
The answer lies with how fast Shirou analyzes and projects it. After all, his projections are at its fastest in UBW since he had xp gain from Archer.
That aside, I watched the episode a second time and I realized that they used one of the scenes on the drafts of my fanfics.
More precisely, Shirou trying to analyze Ea, but then static came in, and getting a headache just because of it.
Not dealing with it...
Why even try?
This is golden...
