Honestly GC without discussion is probably not worth watching because it doesn't have the right kind of terrible to work on its own. Unlike, say, Valvrave.

But Valvrave doesn't run on its own either. I mean sure, that first season is totally fucking bananas, but the second is just BORING.

Though in any case I don't think AZ is anywhere near as terrible as Guilty Crown or Valvrave. The Martian backstory is utterly idiotic and demonstrates a lack of understanding of scale, but the show itself is... inoffensive? I mean other than not feeling like Gen's work at all it hasn't done anything INFURIATING. But it also hasn't done anything terribly interesting.

I dunno, it could go a couple different ways.

I'd say it can work, but only if you skip all the episodes that don't have Mana being psycho yandere older sister (a biologically related one, for once!) or Shu being Hitler.

Those plot twists were Valvrave S1/Geass level crazy, but there weren't enough of them to fill 22 episodes.

I mean, they actually had loli Mana make a face like this while thinking of her unborn younger brother who's still in their mother's womb:

Definitely. But the problem is that I don't see it turning out like some kind of really good and entertaining thing if it doesn't go completely off the rails. Just something like Gargantia since we already brought that up. Inoffensive average.

This, is not indifference, buddy. I mean, you can basically call something a piece of shit but saying you don't have a biased reason to call it exactly that is bs. Not that I actually care what you think of the show that is. Just surprised about how you can you categorize something a lost cause so fast. It not ringing with your tastes is perfectly fine but being able to tell it's already a waste of time is another thing entirely.

Pretty straightforward deduction/plan on Inaho's part, as soon as I saw him circling the bridge on his phone, I knew they were going to collapse the bridge under the kataphrakt. And then whatsherface shoots the kataphrakt instead and that totally threw me off until I realized that she just has bad aim.
