Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 20: I can't believe after all that, Tanjiro didn't cut off Rui's head. That was supposed to be his moment. Thankfully, Giyu came to his rescue and was able to cut through all of his threads, killing him without even a scratch on him. Shinobu is pretty scary. I have no idea how she's able to use such a weird sword like that. With the poison she made, all she has to do is make a few jabs with it and the demon will die. Hashira are so amazing. It was a pretty good episode.

Without much else to do these days I binge watched.Demon SlayerKimetsu no Yaiba
It's full of that simple shonen goodness and definitely scratched that itch I had. It being in the Taisho period and the MCs wearing the gakuran reminded me a lot of Devil Summoner funnily enough, I wonder if that was an influence perhaps?
Kinda sucks that the next arc is in movie format so chances are I won't be able to see it. Guess I'll just have to read the manga to continue onwards.
With all the well made but basic shonen manga in the last few years, I still think Ushio and Tora is one of my favourites. It gains so many points for actually having a definite ending. No having to wait years for the source material to get ahead enough for a new season. No having to worry about the author burning out and ending things early.

Ah, I couldn't get into Ushio & Tora. Can't remember why, just that I dropped it after a few volumes.
Finished watching both Negima anime series. It was a bit difficult to adjust from the Xebec series' normal humour to the Shaft series' ... Shaft-ness. Both were enjoyable in their own way though. I liked that the Shaft version focused on more of the characters, though some of the running gags got a bit tiresome by the end. Currently debating whether or not to start reading the manga.
It is super different. The first anime was made before the big turning point in the story, and went anime original ending after the first serious arc. The Shaft anime went anime original ending in episodes 3 and just kept on making 20+ more episodes on top of it.
I'd say to read it if you like shonen battle manga because that's what it is for 75% of it's run. It's a real gradual transition into it, but it's got tournament arcs out the ass for the last half.

The manga was... well, okay, it's not a masterpiece, but it was a damn good shonen manga. (Shame about UQ Holder fucking up most of the goodwill left from that, really). If you liked the anime, it's definitely worth reading.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 21: I don't know why Rui stayed with his family in the first place after becoming a demon. Him eating or killing them was something that was bound to happen eventually. I have no idea why Tanjiro didn't try to get a blood sample from him though. He was right there dying, it was the perfect opportunity. Also his eye said lower five on it. Do the 12 have some sort of ranking system among them?
Giyu is so cool, he was willing to fight with against another Hashira to protect Tanjiro and Nezuko. Shinobu was even willing to kill him with that hidden blade of hers, I definitely like him more than her. Though the crows calling for Tanjiro and his sister to be captured is interesting. That means that the corps is aware that he's traveling with a demon. So what will happen to him now? I thought those 3 would be fine with this mission, but they nearly got killed instead. It was a cool episode, can't wait for the next one.

I found the first 6 episodes of Trigger's new anime BNA, and now I'm in the eternal quandary of either watching it asap in 480p or waiting two weeks for the quality to be actually watchable.

currently watching Diabolik Lovers More blood. I honestly don't find the heroine annoying or weak imho. She's also look like the rip off version of Leysritt from Prisma Illya
Got Netflix yesterday so I decided to try watching A.I.C.O- Incarnation-. I've just seen the first episode but it looks like a pretty fun series, with good animation, an endearing main heroine and an interesting sci-fi premise. I did notice one thing that seems a bit odd though. Aiko mentions her whole family was killed in the car crash that hospitalized her, but in the flashback we see it's clearly just her dad and her in the car. Unless her memories have been tampered with or something that seems like a little inconsistency. Then again it'll probably be explained later on.

Been doing a re-read of the manga/manhwa "Shin Angyō Onshi" by Youn In-wan. Man, I wish they'd make a proper anime of this and not the standalone movie we got.
Man, this is such a good series, there really needs to be more good fantasy series like this. Uh, if I had to describe the plot it's kinda like Berserk but in the 1800's so there's stuff like the MC wielding pistols. Some really good characters too, Wonsul in particular was peak tragedy as "virtuous knight stuck on the villain's team" which made him both endearing and engaging to watch, especially when he and the MC are forced to travel together and they discuss the morality of taking money from dead travellers they find and Wonsul is immensely against it which the MC points out the hypocrisy of being fine with killing innocent people but not robbing them. Anyways, would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys sorta spaghetti western slash fantasy story.
As an aside, I didn't realise until very recently but almost every character is based off a historical figure which gets my noodle jogging to create a bunch of Korean Servants.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 22: I didn't like the episode at all. I hope next week's will be a lot better.
