I just read through all of the chapters for the Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray manga in a single sitting. It is pretty good. I admit that I had no interest in the franchise before this point, but I'll be damned if it doesn't make cute horse girls racing the hypest shit in the world. Recommended to anyone who's the mood for a legitimately great sports manga, even if it isn't finished yet.

Madlad Fujimoto releasing it a day before its announced release date. What a chad.

Also, an amazing establishing chapter for this new arc that superbly demonstrates Fujimoto's strengths as a writer. I did not expect to be so excited now that it's back, but I am. Looking forward to it.

I watched the first two episodes of AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline and I really like it so far. Using remote control robots to fight instead of having people pilot inside of them is pretty cool.

What prompted you to go back and start it? Was it the fact that it just wrapped up?

Finished Read or Die (OVAs and TV show) Pretty great. Characters are good and fun to follow, and the plot is pretty engaging and well done. Great OST, too and it looked great. Loved the final reveal at the very end of the last episode, and how said reveal is for the audience as the parties involved no longer need it.

Watched the first, like five-six, episodes of Darling in the Franxx again this weekend. I don't know if it's just the dub, but there were a lot more sex jokes in there than I remembered. And I remembered there being a lot. Having the characters constantly say that they need to ride each other, did I ride you too hard, why can't you ride me like you ride her. Things that were subtext originally are just TEXT now, and it makes it funnier.

Still really enjoyed it, even knowing that show takes a big nose dive later on. OP is still a bop. Zero Two still a qt. Ichigo still a cuck.

AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline Episode 3:Amou was about to be killed by the Asian bloc when an AMAIM piloted by a boy named Gashin who's with the Japanese resistance organization Yatagarasu. He's very serious and completely devoted to the goal of freeing Japan from it's occupation. Amou was hesitant at first but he decided to join just when the Yatagarasu's camp was attacked by a black AMAIM.

finished Clannad, has a simple story of resurrecting Theatre club and fulfilling (or giving up) dreams, has some laughing and tear-jerking scenes, overall good


no dango induced trauma, so is it in the after story...

Finished Day Break Illusion, which I think is the one edgy post-Madoka mahou shoujo I hadn't watched yet (it's hilarious people act like there were millions of these shows like it's the case for isekai currently, and yet it's quite easy to watch every single show. Most are single cour, and it's not like there were ever that many. The trend ended quickly, and it was always 1 or 2 shows per year). Decent show even if it's not that creative. I liked it.

AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline Episode 4-6:

The black AMAIM only goes by the name Ghost. It's a freaking monster, it's hard to believe that just an AI is controlling that thing, but it has no pilot.




It can override the special passwords that the 4 blocs have for their AMAIM parts and use them to repair itself. It's also what killed Gashin's father the one time he decided to let his son pilot his AMAIM while he was using a training one. It took a lot but, but the two of them managed to drive the thing off. But not before it wrecked their base camp and killed Risa, the young woman that Amou just met. The only thing that was left of her was her necklace... After that, Amou couldn't go on. He decided against joining Yatagarasu, but this time, they completely understood and respected his decision. You can't help but feel so bad for him, he was just a normal boy a few days ago and now someone he just met was killed during a battle.


After separating from them, Amou decides to go Risa's hometown to tell her family what what happened to her. But they all left due to the cruel treatment of the Oceanian bloc. For a single little thing, those people will take whole families and imprison them. And worse, the Deputy Governor who's in charge deals in human trafficking, so after the people are arrested, he'll sell them off.


The man and his daughter that introduced Amou to Risa's friends just had to cross paths with the Deputy Governor's car, which led to them getting caught. And the people in town didn't like that and left to protest, but the military just arrested them and went off to go arrest anyone connected with them. Risa's friend's told Amou to run, but despite what happened before, he went back to get Genbu and saved those people. After that he mets up with Gashin again and joins Yatagarasu. The episode ends with Risa's necklace on her family's grave.






While Amou and Gashin go to a nearby city to rest and get parts for their AMAIM's, the Ocenians smell the blood in the water and decide to launch an attack on the Asian military. Not caring about the innocent people that could get caught in the crossfire. And the two of them can't do anything because their AMAIM's aren't ready for fighting yet and they're too far away.


It's only when a yellow flying AMAIM arrives and fights off both sides that the fighting ends, it was so cool.

Watching Aoashi and thinking about the last good sports anime that can compete with it (outside of Love Live, which is 100% a sports show but has spawned it's own subgenre so it no longer really counts). My mind immediately goes to Welcome to the Ballroom, only because Haikyuu started before it so all subsequent seasons are just an extension of that in my mind. Then I remember that water Polo anime from a few seasons back. the show was mid on the sports side but pretty solid as an odd drama-comedy outside of it, what with the MC being the villain of any other sports show who got TV amensia and has to restart form scratch. Then my brain goes "Hey, isn't the plot of KOTOR? Is MC-kun just Darth Revan in a speedo?".

That's one of the ones on my "break glass in case of no anime" list. I remember watching like 4 episodes at one point and really digging it.
