Read Kokou no Hito. It was refreshing, a generic shounen sports manga that turned into realistic seinen coming of age story.
Good thing the initial writer left after the third volume. Only, as a consequence of that, characters and subplots that would've otherwise been cool to get more focused development on were abandoned or just kind of... fizzled out...
But Ararararagi's powers could easily be the terrible LN protag powers. He's got zero overt power and his only ability, which is pretty much god tier, is pretty much only useful as a counter to other, way more powerful characters. Just instead of it being anti-magic or a focus on fighting people not monsters, it's crazy levels of regeneration. Also instead of using his game breaking powers to punch untouchable assholes, Araragi just talks them down instead.

Honestly, I want to disagree, but I can't. I love part 3, but it really is basically a villain-of-the-week story where nearly all fights have the dramatic weight of filler episodes. If it weren't for the Stands and some of the battles (D'arby, Vanilla Ice and DIO come to mind), I doubt it would be as well-remembered as it is.
It would be great if the character learns something from the weekly villains. Despite how much the story tries to ties with Polnareff backstory, he ends up learning nothing. The main cast antics are great and hilarious though, I guess they are the reason why I'm not end up quiting and able to bear the slow pacing until the end.
Recently finished reading Homonculus and Freesia back to back. I wouldn't recommend doing that to anyone else. On that note, does anyone know more manga like these two?
I finally got around to reading Spirit Circle. I'm about halfway through and hot damn is this great. The only issue is that watching Planet With and reading this at the same time, there's a noticable bit of "the artist only knows/ really likes to draw this one character". Not at a Beelzebub/Hungry Marie level but still strange to see. Or maybe Planet With is actually a hidden sequel and that's the reason all the character designs repeat.

It's mostly these two that get me:

Ah, but the sameface is supposed to be intentional. Karma and reincarnation shenanigans and so on.
FGO Supports
But that's only applicable for the Spirit Circle character, not the Planet With one as well.
Speaking of, I finished up Spirit Circle. Shit's good. And unlike Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer, I might be able to actually find it for sale at a convention next year.

Spent the evening watching the Bungou Stray Dogs movie "Dead Apple".
T'was pretty good. Suffered from being a summer movie that vaguely fits in-between the last arc and the current one so you know none of the pre-existing characters are in danger of death no matter what the plot throws at them. The final battle was extremely rad, went from street fighting to suddenly throwing skyscrapers at like mach speed. The villain was pretty cool too, shame he probably won't turn up in the main story.
Overall a solid watch and I hope for a proper continuation to the anime.

Finished JoJo Part 4: What a beautiful DUWANG.
I like it a lot, alongside part 2.
While the length is almost the same as Part 3, there is an actual progression besides check-listing enemy's stand users 1 by 1, and some character actually learns something. And maybe, because there are many sections focusing on the main villain POV make it fresher experience? It also helps that Kira is an intriguing and fun villain to watch. The Morioh landmarks is also funny too.
Waiting for Part 5, or should I just read the manga?
Anyway, finally gonna watch Rebuild 2.

I watched Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic yesterday and it was as good as I imagined it would be. There were so many good moments.
Spoiler:
The only thing I didn't like was the CGI people, that was just plain weird and didn't fit well.
And unfortunately, after this the next arc to be adapted is probably the most boring arc I read up to in the manga, at least until it gets to the end.
Spoiler:
Rebuild is... good.
Toji's sister is moe I liek.
I finished reading Death Note after a long time. I did not expect it to end the way it did.
