Eva was 13 years old back in 2008. Amuria's definitely old now. It's older than goddamn K-on. Sure, you can say it's new from the PoV of the medium's history, but for lots of fans who refuse to watch anything from before 2010 because "too old", 2008 is definitely old. And I take it seriously because it should. There's no good reason to spread fake info. Imagine a flat earther going "why are you taking this so seriously"? Or a kid who said 2+2=5 and tells their teacher "why so serious?" when the teacher corrects them.
Why do you hate learning and being corrected this much?

Bercause misconceptions is how shit like the "SAO is bad and no one can like it if they've good taste, so it's OK to insult fans and force our views on them" happens. 3D, like SAO, is one of those things everyone has assumed is "bad" as a fact without much thinking. Just bunch of sheep agreeing and attacking anyone who disagrees (not saying that an attack on 3d fans happened here. But I've seen the mindset of 3D bad lead to bad shit elsewhere), so I feel I need to clarify things because I don't see dislking something as a free card to throw around ignorang comments and generalizations. There are some good looking 3D anime. Ajin is not one of them.

For the time, it was one of the better ones. It's been blown out by later shows, but comparing it to the stuff that came before it was leaps ahead.

It's not exactly anime but it's anime adjacent, I've been reading the Re:Zero LNs the last week or two. I really enjoyed both seasons of the anime when they were airing and decided to dive deeper into the series. It's good stuff, which I think the popularity of the anime can attest to lol.

And it's like the only big isekai series that isn't "gamey" with characters having in-universe stat sheets and levels and stuff, which imo makes it worth checking out on its own even outside the quality.

It's not exactly anime but it's anime adjacent, I've been reading the Re:Zero LNs the last week or two. I really enjoyed both seasons of the anime when they were airing and decided to dive deeper into the series. It's good stuff, which I think the popularity of the anime can attest to lol.

And it's like the only big isekai series that isn't "gamey" with characters having in-universe stat sheets and levels and stuff, which imo makes it worth checking out on its own even outside the quality.

I remember keeping up with the first season after getting bombarded with ads for it in free crunchyroll, when I still used the thing. Never did stop to watch the second one though. I enjoyed it, at least.

Full Metal Demon Muramasa is seen as one of the best VNs ever (I agree) and it has full rape scenes almost every chapter.

And the SAO train keeps going because there are enough fans supporting the story in different forms despite what the vocal internet critic hatebase would want. The criticism against SAO are "all anime is degenerate hentai" level of wrong. Just groupthink that people have convinced themselves is true when there's lots of holes in it when you watch the show with an open mind

SAO is.... alright. When it's being a shounen action show it can be pretty good, bit edgier than the norm but that's not a bad thing. Its worldbuilding is quite poor though, and I think that's why the likes of Digibro and Mothers Basement shat on it so much, since they're majorly into worldbuilding.

Personally I'm not a big fan of how the harem elements were handled, it just kinda feels weird to give a guy a harem after putting him in a mutually monogamous relationship. That and the imouto's plotline in the Alfheim arc is my most detested storyline type, so I'm a bit biased there.

I do really love the GGO spinoff though. Llenn a cute.
