The humans being stupid enough to believe that the Hero defeated the Demon King in Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e rather than the truth of the Demon King essentially sacrificing himself reminds me of Netflix Castlevania where Dracula basically let himself be killed confirming something that I always suspected in the games, especially the games where you play as Alucard. Basically, why Dracula never fights Alucard in Dracula's story of Castlevania Judgment, but Death does fight Alucard in Death's story.
Finding a decent sub of the Saekano film has proven quite the cumbersome task.
Since Youtube broke today I needed something to put on as background noise while I do my normal internet stuff. So I went looking for episodic things in English so nothing is really lost by half paying attention. I went with Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun, and ended u paying way more attention to it than what else I was doing. I forgot how much fun this group of idiots was. The dub is actually pretty good too.

Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
SB69 S2 done. I loved it, it allowed us to know the cast even better focusing on characters and stuff S1 sidelined, like Moa or the whole thing with Rom and Shu being on the same band in the past, so it was a great continuation IMO
Since I watched Mashumairesh when it aired as it's the story of a new native cast focused on band SoL without ties to the previous 2 seasons, that means I'm ready for Stars next season.

I've been rewatching the original Digimon series and I just love it. I just finished watching episode 7.

Witchblade done. Decent show. I liked the bonds beetween the main cast, fights were decent and it was surprisingly tragic. Would've appreciated an epilogue showing how everyone's doing after the final fight, though. Still, I like this showending spoilers

I keep dying like a scrub in Demon Souls so I said screw it and put on Goblin Slayer instead to get my fix of Dark Fantasy.
A really good show all things considered. I was initially wary of how this would go when the hero is more interested in killing goblins than fighting the Demon King but I really fell in love with the characters and the world, which is funny considering none of these people have actual names and we never see the hero's face properly. Certainly interested to check out a potential second season that the stinger at the end implied.
Shout-out to all the references to the Fantasy genre in general. There were so many it was hard to keep track of but Not!Lancer and Not!Guts were both awesome and I couldn't help but smile when Burglar was doing a series of riddles only to end it off with a Hobbit reference about what was in his pocket.

Read the manga, please. The art is great.
On my part, WoWs finally pushed me to give Haifuri a try. Up to episode 5 and it's like an even dumber GuP that takes itself a bit too seriously... but it's probably the best animated depiction of real ship-to-ship combat (AzuLen and Kancolle need not apply) we're gonna get.

Once and always and nevermore.
Patamon digivolving into Angemon and defeating Devimon was great and Skullgreymon was a a lot bigger than I remembered. In fact, things are moving more faster then I remembered too. Like them getting the crests and tags.

I read a Manga a while back about an Office woman who loves action movies and lives with her co-worker. I remember it being pretty funny but I can;t remember it's name. Does anyone else remember that one.

Finished Akito the Exiled. That was great and I'm glad things didn't end worse. Now my next goal is the CG recap movies and Resurrection and I'll be set to watch this new Code Geass Z thing whenever it comes. The CGI gave us some truly impressive mecha fights. Good stuff

So next from my backlog was Mai-Hime, and I expected some kind of "mahou shoujo" kind of a plot. Which it kinda delivers during first half. But then it turns into a Holy Grail War.
For a 2004 anime, it's probably quite solid.
And Kajiura music, it's easily recognizable when you hear it.
Not bad.

Up to Episode 40 of Digimon.
All of this time, I thought Gatomon(Tailmon) was a Rookie Digimon, but it turns out she's on the Champion level and Angewomon is a Ultimate level Digimon. Which is why they needed the tag and crest for her... I just assumed that since it was so small it was a Rookie and that she was special.
They just came back to Digital World after fulfilling a ancient prophecy that let two of their Digimon reach the Mega level, only to be beaten by the Dark Masters immediately. That's some whiplash after a victory.

Even though I already knew the gist of the story through playing SRW:V, it was still really nice to see it all proper like. There really isn't enough space opera that isn't mecha sadly. Anyways, it was a good show though I am hesitant to try the sequel as I've heard horror stories about it.
