I want an underground concrete with steel insert walls and mechanized doors for a complete lock down, a small private library chamber and plenty of store rooms for supplies. Two generators, ROF water purification system and water storage, with room for about twenty. Also, a office with a mechanized desk and revolving miniguns on either side. To wrap it up, surround the entire thing in a Faraday box to prevent any electromagnetic shocks from wiping my favorite anime and games clean.
Yeah, that's the dream home for me...

That eerily reminds me of the tombs of ancient kings and nobles. Tight doors, offering to the dead (books, disks, beverage, food, and furniture), deadly traps (miniguns), and a sarcophagus (Faraday box?).
The descriptions actually qualify it more as a grand tomb than a dream house.
It's always been my dream to hollow out and reform the entirety of Phobos for my house.

I have lots of ideas for a good home. But I guess the biggest factor in my decision-making would be the number of people living with me. For a long time I lived in a huge, luxurious house, a large part of which went mostly unused except during the occasional holiday gathering. It was cold and lonely and a freaking pain in the ass to clean and maintain.
If I'm by myself, I'm perfectly fine with a (very) spacious condominium or 1-story house.
Now you mention it, yes it does sound like a grand tomb for nobility, but that might be explained as I am a direct blood descendant (That is, 1/4 from my father and grandparents.) of a certain dutch noble house, so maybe the style aesthetic is genetic? Hmm... That does come as creepy as well.

A cabin deep in the woods, with satellite Internet, a shotgun to keep the grizzly bears away, and 400 packets of curry in the basement.
O walls, you have held up so much tedious graffiti that I am amazed you have not already collapsed in ruin.
Two things: peace and quiet.
A castle but with all the modern comforts would be pretty nice.
