I like it when cheese is part of something (Like pizza), but I don't like cheese by itself.

Brie is my cheese.

On its own, with crackers, with baguettes, it's got to be Brie.
For sandwiches it's Swiss or Provolone, with the rare Cheddar or Muenster.
For pizza it's Mozzarella and for salad it's Parmesan or Cheddar.

I have a somewhat guilty taste for American cheese on sandwiches.

In the suburbs, it's almost invariably what you get on a steak. I was quite shocked to learn they use Cheez Whiz in Philly; we tend to think of that as a punchline rather than a food. But I realize a lot of people feel the same way about processed cheese as a whole.
