    So, I was playing a game and someone spoiled one important event in The Force Awakens for me and I was gonna go see it tonight. I thought what they spoiled sounded utterly stupid and just to make sure I google'd it and it's apparantelly real so... Well, until I actually see it on screen I'll pass better judgement but man... so stupid.

    I mean it's a predictable film in general but that feels necessary, it's there to "reset," Star Wars.

    Came back from the movie
    It was alright. Nothing amazing tho. The biggest takeaway i got from the movies

    is that the Star Wars universe has no historians or archivists, if in 50-70 years the Jedi and the Force became myths and fables.

    Not that I disagree, but I think that the emphasis is on people who live in the ass end of the galaxy rather than the core worlds or something. Which actually is probably my main frustration point with the film if I have one: that because they've done so much to emulate the OT feel, it also emulates how the OT only ever fought on this smallish scale out in the boondocks and so I almost feel like I'm not adventuring out across the wide galaxy so much as just the insignificant parts.

    Of course, at this rate I guess core worlds are going to all get destroyed so the middle of nowhere becomes the middle of everything in due time.

    Other thing i took away from is that Finn was too quick to just go blasting holes on fellow stormtroopers.
    I get it that he wanted out as quickly as possible, but imo he was too quick to shoot his old comrades considering the first thing we see him do is hold a dying stormtroopers in his arms

    Just got back from it. I liked it. Probably more than A New Hope.

    Spoiler:
    [The blue/red lighting during the scene between Han Solo and Kylo Ren was pretty great. Maybe a bit too in your face, but it still looked cool af.]
