A: I simply treat him as competent and am aware that as a character his ego and attitude come from his life. That Gilgamesh is in fact human and period social customs aside he, like all humans is not truly pure good or evil. Whether or not he is an anti-hero is up to you. Although for my part I believe Anti hero in regards to Gilgamesh is fitting.

the readers at the time had an apt question. Why would Gilgamesh do that? Until the story comes to reveal the truth you are being impatient and claiming that he's out of character. You are speculating on something. You have no proof of.
