with rin its less a job and more like a lifestyle, like a monk always steeped in their ways

this is actually a good analogy, the only quibble I might have is that monks do monk stuff arguably because they see it as a moral imperative, while Rin is living her lifestyle because she enjoys it.

If it was an actual subversion EXTRA would be kind of shit in its primary purpose as waifu game. But if you actually don't trip the matrix flag the game essentially rused you badly.

She has traits of Sakura and Kohaku so she really does feel like something that came from the man himself, I wonder how much he salvaged there and how much was his idea.

i wanted to appease her so i picked something i wouldnt pick which was the middle of the road answer so i got it without a guide

The thing is that its still a clever little trick that gives more insight into her character. She would have essentially played her little role to the end and without impacting the actual main plot basically result in a bad end you are never actually informed of unless you go back and replay.

Nero doesn't really have a lot to chew on.

Tamamo has one trick and nice execution. Nero doesn't have a trick.

ironically tamamo then gets hit with the "pure pandering" stick by people who have not played the game

A broken woman using you as pretty much completely replaceable emotional crutch and you have a non-zero chance of never finding that out if you play without a guide because she just plays cute waifu all the time.

Your fault you can't understand a character or pick on hints she makes all the time

Or really not getting that the totally random and not suspicious question was about her (Or being wishy washy and choosing both options that only give you 1 point but you already chose her as a waifu so why back down)

provided you mentioned you felt non humans were fine too in the last question, which I assume most did, you will actually pass the check even by asking "whats with this question?"

so I am pretty sure like 95% of the people who botched had to have blown up at caster and told her genocide, otherwise known as something she herself has committed, was something that would make you hate her.

I always thought that was a clever little twist extra pulled there.

No. well, its hinted at a couple of times (and I suppose it technically had been revealed since the TL guys proved that their entire team was composed of monkey fucking footballs, since they accidentally left tamamo's name in her skill description. This means it was freely available at any time) but yeah.

The entire reason tamamo asked is because she was considering telling you the truth of her story and wanted to find out first if that would wreck your relationship. if you blow up at her, it convinces her thats exactly what it will do, so she stays quiet.

It shows you'll never understand her in the first place. That moment is essentially her doubting for the first time if she should keep up that artifice or if she should get genuinely invested in you.

If you say "unforgivable" she pretty much keeps smooth trucking with waifuism and pretending you are her number one irreplacable wife/husband while being pretty fucked up emotionally still. She even tells you she agrees with your answer with her serious face and voice.
