There are too many incidents to count any single one as a definitive catastrophe, it's best to think of the whole thread as constant catastrophe. It is a cursed thread, fated to always have one highly autistic, highly stupid user obsess over their politics and attack absolutely everyone else in the thread until an external force stops them.

I would say that the easiest way to get an idea is just to go look at the last few pages of the thread before it was closed and get an idea of the level of discourse there, but at the same time I don't recommend anyone look at the thread under any circumstance.

The thread was a festering wound on the site that turned normal posters into awful ones. There's not much more to it than that.

I personally think it just revealed who the awful posters were all along. Normally, rightoids here stay quiet, but in that thread, they didn't, and it basically ensured that thread would be cursed. That's why I specifically called out LegalLoliLover. He played a pretty huge part in the dumpster fire that was its last 3 pages.

Basically a bunch of people used it as an excuse to throw shit at each other constantly because they couldn't handle talking like normal people, so it got shut down.
