Maybe not the first offense, but definitely by the third if it's bad enough. Bigotry isn't something that needs that much proof to see a pattern of. Thrice should be enough, and even twice might be good depending on how bad the events were. Also, most of the psychos on Gennews were repeat offenders.

It is a three strikes system though, and the incident we were talking about was only the first ban. And since he's been back he's been, not normal, but at least not offensive. And Gen News bringing out that side of so many people is one of the reasons it got nuked.

There's pretty much two ways people tended to respond to bans. You'd get the ones who learned their lesson, or the ones who come back no longer pissed at what ever was the cause of the ban, but the Forum as a whole for daring to ban them, who almost always got perma'd withing a week of return. They were always the real crazy ones.

Last time the staff tried banning someone they didn't like without a good reason, over two dozen posters were ready to go out blazing by his side.
