Like I said, being an actual pedo wasn't his forum identity, and epic lolicons were a dime a dozen. There is the argument that he should've been instantly banned when he outed himself but as has already been remarked people either didn't take him seriously or ignored him. You can see that in the lack of response to the post about the Skype photos.

We ended up asking for help from irchighway admins, and they debated just IP banning all of Germany. Very fun times.

He also claimed to have tried to commit suicide after the ban. Though, I personally don't believe that and think it was a lie. He did threaten to show up to my house and stab me, to which I responded by giving him my address. After his ban we decided to also ban him from one of the more popular IRC channels that spawned from BL, which he evaded by going homeless mode and going from public wifi connection to public wifi connection just to get back in. We ended up asking for help from irchighway admins, and they debated just IP banning all of Germany. Very fun times.

From what I can gather, the problem is that drag is closely tied to sexual themes and was only really seen at adult nightclubs and the like until relatively recently (at least in the US). It’d be like a stripper showing up in their “stripper outfit” to read.

To be fair, if you’ve ever seen a drag show you know that they usually have an air of “adult naughtiness” to them, so I can’t exactly say I don’t understand the sentiment. All the drag queen floats I’ve seen at Mardi Gras definitely fall into this category

Drag isn't inherently sexual. A drag *show* might be sexual - but most actually aren't. If anything, I'd argue the face of drag shows in the US are Dolly Parton covers, and have been since, what, the 80's? The 70's?

Regardless, even *if* drag shows were inherently sexual, drag reading hours have never been; it's the height of distastefulness, to put it mildly, to compare those to actual paedophilia.

I agree with you there; they definitely aren’t engaging in pedophilia. However, I could understand an argument against it in regards to it being “indecent exposure”. Kind of like the dog fetish people that “play fetch” in a public park.
