Because the way people act in around adults in a carnival/party/whatever does not imply anything about how they act around children in a school/library/etc.
I can’t speak for asterism, but all the parades where I lived were put on by the city. They were public events, and plenty of people brought their kids, even though it wasn’t uncommon for some drunk tourists to start flashing people. Still, I’d argue there’s a difference between a kid seeing strangers act “strange” as opposed to them seeing someone they engage with regularly (like a teacher).

You're saying people who work around kids must hold to the same child-friendly standards even when outside of work. I'm going to continue calling it "infantilisation" and point out the inherent hypocrisy.
Again, time and a place. Adults can get as rowdy as they like in nightclubs and similar venues, but out in public one should strive to behave in a certain manner, especially those who work with kids. If anything, I would argue that it’s more mature to behave in this manner, as one isn’t acting like some horny teenager.
To be honest, even seeing people make out (not just a quick kiss and go, but the long, hard kind) in public is weird as hell to me. Is it really so hard to just wait until you get home?

Should I not drink wine just because I'm at the external part of a restaurant? Should I not talk about topics like politics or faith with my friends, or even just movies with sex and violence, just because an errant child might hear me?
Even leaving aside the laughable idea that kids don't already know about such topics (I had 11- and 12-year olds trying to post links to porn videos back in 2020, for example), I am not responsible for my students' experiences outside the school, much less for the experiences of a hypothetical stand-in for all children everywhere; *parents* are.

Also, I find it interesting that you said that parents are responsible for keeping their kids in line… would that mean that if a parent saw a teacher engaging in something they didn’t like (regardless of how ridiculous their reasoning), it would be okay for them to take their child out of that environment (eg making the school swap them to another class)? I’m asking because I’ve read a couple of news stories about the topic, and both parents and the schools are going apeshit over it.
Finally, can we not go into insults? Your opinions are just as strange to me as mine are to you. I don’t know you, and you don’t know me, so let’s try to be civil about this, yes?
