i was expressing my surprise that you said you don't care about other places, as when I made my remark, I was talking less about virtual spaces but physical spaces where the partisan nature of modern politics is very much alive.
And then the example I used was the dinner table but that might have been too personal so I added in family reunions because that's basically a cliche at this point about a place where multiple views on politics gets out of hand.
And then I was like, well my friends used to talk about politics around a coffee table and then my other friends had a glass table. And then I remembered that coffee table was the table my old friends dragged from across the street. And that made me remember my former roommate using his drawers as a table.
So yeah turned into a nostalgia trip about tables half way in.
