Jan. 6 2015 is pretty old by now. It's more that the years since then have mostly been very quiet for the forum.

But, TL;DR: Evospace made it in 2003, it was a forum of one translator group TLing Tsukihime, it fused with another to form mirror moon, then in 2011 proboards shit the bed because it was taking up so much bandwith and they didn't want to take away the porn, then they made this one, and now you're caught up.

If the mods are friends who we trust to manage interactions with other friends, then that's all the more reason to judge them harshly. Friends should protect their friends from shittier friends who deny or question their right to live.

Ultimately, Gauf and Spoony are asking the mods to upend the entire system of how user behavior is moderated to “protect” the small percentage of people who could be offended by a given user’s statement. It is impractical, illogical, and unrealistic. In all likelihood, the BL moderators probably have better things to do than trying to cater to everybody’s sensibilities.

What's funny is that this is probably a greater indictment of BL's culture than anything I've ever said.
