But Deen is shit. This is heresy.
1. DEEN has plenty of shows that are fine. You just say this because of Fate.
2. Look at his avatar and tell me heresy isn't what he's going for.

Yeah, I did love higurashi but the VN is probably better. Still the their animation quality isn't great.
DEEN Higurashi was awful.
I liked it but I have never read source material.
Animation wise but that adds to atmosphere in a weird way...
Yeah, the atmosphere of that's not a face, that's an artist that was having a seizure, poor artist.

The only good thing that I can even recall DEEN being responsible for was Ruroni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal. That was over a decade ago too!
I was thinking more like Sakura Trick. I'm waiting on LH2 to get done before I marathon it.
But yes, Ruro Ken OVAs are like my favorite anime to this day, so even if DEEN were to drop a stinker for the rest of their existence I will still support them for having done it.

Funny
Most everyone I know vehemently hates the OVAs and would see every copy thrown into a vat of industrial-strength acid if they had the chance.
Reflection, the third, non canon OVA sure. And the Kyoto Arc remakes definitely.
Trust and Betrayal are goddamn works of art.

Yeah, it is the third one most of my friends spend their time bitching about, and it seems to have invalidated the entire run for them.
I actually liked pre-series, Battousai Kenshin more than Kenshin at any other point in his history, but that's because I'm a douchey grimdark fanboy, apparently.
The third was made years later without Watanuki's approval. Trust and Betrayal are like 95% faithful adaptations of the material from the manga and have some of the most visceral moments and superb execution and direction.
