That's actually why I prefer series to movies, in the end it's more content.

There's a reason why they did it on movies though...

Aside from blood and gore, the original Heaven's Feel story is rife with actual sex scenes significant to the plot.

You can't put that in Japan's evening series.

And for all I know, they may place these scenes in blu-ray given the chance of a series, but much material will be cut off from the original airing if it actually happened.

I guess my problem with this decision is that they'll either delay the soul transfer foreshadowing closer to the final third or, but this this is unlikely... I hope, they'll skip it all together, which is troubling.

Not to mention, they can't afford to skip on establishing that relationship early in the story. Of all the things I thought they might skip or move around, I didn't think they would choose those.

Anyway, without the second movie to get what plan they have in mind, this too early to judge this decision yet.

If they moved them to the second movie and don't end up adding them into the BD release as extra scenes, maybe they will end up mixing those scenes with the shopping one to make all the sibling bonding in the same movie.

I still would not whine about it if it turns to be that way. They can even make a parallel between Shirou and Illya's sibling bonding and Rin and Sakura's one at the same time in the same movie.

The first impression, the one with the cut scenes, talks about that character in the context of SLH.

The second one just says that she's the "Ultimate Beauty" and that drunk Taiga is great. But yeah, those comments are sandwitched between actual bullet point summaries, so I'm not sure if these were just throwaway remarks or that they appeared in the movie or something.

There are three:

Spoiler:

1. Meeting Illya - where she tells him that she's in the war to kill him and Kirtsugu (day 5).
2. Consciousness transfer - doesn't talk about Kiritsugu IIRC (day 6).
3. Snow scene - Shopping/Visiting the Emiya household (day 7).

They've cut them all, allegedly.

Takes place on Day 5. Shirou's shopping and Ilya tugs on his shirt to introduce herself, then they go to the park and talk a little.

Interestingly her tugging on his shirt is in the trailer? But it looks like it's lined up with the scene where she talks to him creepily in a burning landscape. Really curious where that goes now that I'm reminded, it might be in place of it?

@ All this talk of SAlter apparing in the film:

Well, maybe it could work. Though Shirou would probably first meet Saber as Saber Alter in the second film (if they keep his manner of meeting her the same), that doesn't mean the audience couldn't briefly meet her in the film.

She's already become cross-promotion material for the first movie.

(As an aside, I don't recall seeing a Shinji cutout for this particular cross-promotion before...)
