The black key and the herc sword happened in HF.
A few pages later when he realizes it fails, he goes HAA! AAAGGHHH- while he's doing the ninth slash, and it is fucking beautiful.
Personally, I think Noriaki Sugiyama's shouting is one of his best talents.

No, bow and Caliburn was in Fate, black key and axe sword was in HF. Where would Shirou even get a black key in Fate? Come on.
Herk fight in Fate: Shirou makes crap bow, does nothing, makes crap Caliburn, cuts off Herk's arm, makes better Caliburn and helps Saber fry him.
Herk fight in HF: Shirou has a Black Key given to him by Kotomine that he reinforces, does nothing, then makes a hollow projection of Herk's sword, fuck ow trees hurt, fine make Herk's sword and bust out NLBW.

That's what I originally thought as well but people were saying that Shirou was trying to trace Herc's sword in Fate so I just figured I probably didn't remember Fate all too well.

The crap Herc sword is the part I don't remember.
People were saying Shirou traced a crap Herk sword, which he then gets smacked down for his trouble, only he then tries again and does much better, all in HF.
--I search, retrieve, and create it.
What can beat him.

I don't doubt that the fight between Shirou and Saber Alter will be included, it just won't end with Shirou breaking his own brain. It's honestly not too much of a stretch for ufotable to fit in one more trace than the several that Shirou already does in vanilla HF.

everybody enters cavern -> rider's charge weakens saber -> initiate sparks liner high but shirou lives -> proceed with rest of true end as usual

Personally, I'd prefer Sparks outside the main storyline.

Sparks is only good because Shirou dies at the end.
It makes it tragic in the way that he won the battle, but in the end, he lost the war.
But it's cool because he managed to defeat a powerful servant at the cost of his mind.

No point in doing sparks if shirou doesn't go down afterward. The point of sparks is how badass shirou goes out. It would be cool seeing crane wing animated, but it just wouldn't feel as good.
