Not really. I prefer the Normal End to the True End because the Normal End feels like it better fits the tone and themes of the Route, whereas True is like a fix-fic "And then everyone lived happily ever after with no consequences and everything was sunshine and rainbows" ending, complete with literally "lol!Zelretch" saving Rin from the Association at the last Second.

Normal Ending was tragic and bittersweet, but overall felt more real. TBH the only part of it I don't like is Sakura shitting on everything that everyone suffered through and sacrificed to save her in favour of being a Crazy Cat Lady living in her dead boyfriends house forever because she only got some of what she wanted instead of everything.

Seriously Girl, you should learn from Akiha's example and learn to heal/move forward, just because your husbando is dead is no reason to give up on life.

Lol, yeah. Also, the way its written, it makes shiro quite a failure, and contradicts some themes of the rute. Said that, i apreciate it as an alternate VN end but i dont want it for the movies. Knowing the casual fan base, it will regarded more as a meme than an actually emotional thing

I wouldn't associate "killing Saber and letting Illya sacrifice herself for his own sake" with "no consequences", especially when our main protagonist's mindset in the bulk of the story is that he shouldn't be alive in the first place (making the fact that he has to consciously choose to sacrifice the life of others even more of a big deal). But hey that's just me.


If anything, it feels less thematically jarring than the ending of another popular series with sacrifice being one of its main themes: FMA (Brotherhood). While HF True required the death of two important main characters that you grew attached to in either the same or a previous route plus thousands of innocent city folks, the only sacrifices in FMA were a bunch of secondary characters with barely any screen-time and the main character's magical powers (that became unnecessary anyway due to the world being at peace).

People need to just let go already. Even if you don't like Sakura, it'll just be better and easier to accept that Normal ain't happening and was never gonna happen, than to psyche yourself up for it then act all disappointed when it doesn't happen.

But some of these comments were not....hey, we want normal, more like ..oh no, we are gettin normal, arent we ? .

Said that , i try to understand why someone who does not like sakura would want normal that much. True have more of Rin, nods to bigger nasuverse, and Rider , normal is pretty much all Sakura and her feelings, if you dont care about her, you cant feel normal so much. If is literally just about the karma, is really that important ?

It's going to be worse, duh. Everybody knows the first two thirds of HF are by far the best part of the story with the final 1/3 being a unevenly paced boring slow burn full of anticlimactic slice of life scenes.
