Neither did I, but I got everything but the red gems already at 680k of the white/blue points (the node where I get the silver currency). And I got 300+ of each of these red gems, so...

I'm getting the red gems that's why I need to farm a little more, even though I have +200 of each of them.

or is it more of a case by case basis and generalization of each attribute score

Same, Xuanzang should be higher by virtue of having an actual attack stat and good passives.
