Nah its because every time you hit them they change field to their home turf so they get field buff, which means if there's only 1 left that one will always get the buff which makes them both tanky and hitting super hard.
If they have their field bonus, they get a massive special defense up bonus among other things. I wouldn't recommend trying to leave Nobu for last. Easiest imo is Taiga, but Jeanne could work too I guess since she doesn't have any sure hit/invincible pierce buffs from skills or NP.

Guess I'll have to bring an LB'd Nero support then. Not sure if I can do this with only Tamamo and Mash as support. We'll see then.

What do you have?
If you're gonna do it like that I recommend focusing Jeanne so Nero can take care of Taiga and Nobu, you'll need something that will actually block the Jeanne NPs tho, i.e., not Mashu and Tamamo. You'll also need some good RNG so Jeanne doesn't go after Nero much because she'll rip her apart.
Yeah, Taiga is the best to leave for last of the 3. Jeanne's NP without her field buff hits for nothing and refills your party's NP gauges nicely.
I have Eresh/Karna in the Lancer department, and Musashi/Ryuutan for the viable Tiger exterminator. No Merlin/Waver/Skadi tough life. Also dunno if I should LB my Nero CE.
If all else I'll stall like fuck with Jeanne+Tamamo+X with Nero CE I guess.

Oh okay, I read it wrong lol.
If you have Jeanne (Prisma Cosmos), Eresh (max LB Nero CE), and Musashi (max LB or regular Nero CE), just grab someone's Merlin then. I'll put mine up in the All slot with a max LB Kaleidoscope so you can get his NP rolling immediately.

As for what MC to use, any will work. Plugsuit can let you swap out Eresh for Musashi while keeping Merlin and Jeanne up for some more stall potential, Atlas to give Musashi more time, etc etc.
That said, I'd recommend not trying to milk crits on Taiga until both Jeanne and Nobu are defeated, so do Merlin -> Jeanne NP to get some more healing out of Jeanne.
Wait so how do I put out Nobu in this case? Just whittle her down?

Even with Buster resistance, she'll die from using Eresh's NP. Might need to swap to her once or twice for that final push, but you can always just stun her or pop invincible that turn if afraid she'll kill you while it's her field.

I was considering building a team around Nero, but no Tamamo and no Waver, so I postponed that idea
