Rereading that, I was way off the point I was trying to make. that's what I get for posting on break at work.
It's less that I think Shuten is overused and more that all the characters in that cast group are. Having Raikou/Iba/Kintoki/Shuten tends to mean one of the others will show up, and I'm pretty much over all of them save maybe Kintoki.
