The only good thing about the event is the ease of obtaining mats. It's a real bore otherwise.
Setsubun 2, i like
Events which are not tied to AP spent / any sort of timegate mechanic and thus can be cleared at your own pace are EXTREMELY GOOD CIVILIZATION
and they should do more of them
Rewards are extremely generous even if they are longterm, its what, 3 flames + 3 rp=1 flame for the shop?
200 floors doesnt seem that much now that i actually play fgo daily on a phone as intended
Also as an extremely old and rich player events that cater to me by allowing me to use double kaleido setups and rotate my servant roster are also good civilization
its significantly more annoying on my alt where there is no lb kaleido to make my life extremely easy but manageable (i'll still have to rush 100+ floors on a weekend there though, ouch)

I still hate these events, I usually use my AP, but for these events I just play the event and that's it. When I'm done with the event and I just log in and don't play just to recover from the fatigue I feel by doing these kinds of events. Then again I'm 1 Kaleidoscope short of having one limit broken so maybe that makes it less annoying. Still having to set up optimal cost teams etc. is just annoying regardless of clear speed.
200 quests that require changing your team EVERY TIME is definitely the definition of extra effort.
If you want to use older Servants, or not use your usual farming comp, then do it. You don't need an event to force you to do that, and those of us who DON'T want to do that get forced to do so.And for those who have been playing for a long time with a massive amount of Servants, at least they get to play back older Servants they probably left in the dust and maybe admire what they forgot existed in their roster. At the very least, it's fun that I'm not using my usual 4/5T farming comp that happens to be in almost every event; that I get to see animations from Servants which I would've dismissed for not being better/more efficient than whomever I'd normally run instead.
It's all in your heads, guys. 200 floors in 2 weeks is just 14 nodes every day.
That's the number of free quest nodes you do every day by natural AP.

Trubo have you ever run calcs on Victor vs BHG for NPBB crit chains?
i'm checking it out and it seems BHG is just completely superior choice because normal buster brave chaining already has insane amounts of buster and crit damage

No real complaints from me. I've been going pretty casually and I'm at floor 170, playing whenever I get the urge. I think people who rushed it and people who feel overwhelmed just to start to take on what seems like a daunting task are where most of the complaints are coming from.
My approach to it has been like it's a regular dead week, but instead of going in and playing a free quest a couple of times I knock out some floors and it doesn't seem too bad honestly.
Done with the event too, I basically did 20 floors a day, maybe a bit more in some days. Back to Rayquaza farming.
Overall, an okay event for farming, though for me the bond rewards were what I wanted since I lack no materials right now.
That said, it's still a bit annoying to do this event because of the constant back and forth with the teams, even with the better loading times it's still a pain to do this constantly. They really should find a way to speed up this process for next time, like set up a queue system in which you prepare all the parties beforehand. Not like any of the nodes was difficult enough to justify doing a proper team.
Also increase team cost just for this event so we can actually make use of all event CEs with more high rarity Servants ffs.

Cleared the event in 3 days. Ish. I think I climbed about 60~80 floors a day. Mostly just doing as many battles as I could with as little focus on maximising bond points. Started off with a 4-Servant team, then got to 5-Servants when the CEs came from the milestones. Practically clearing 25~30 floors per login whenever possible.

The time you take to swap Servants then clear the one/two waves is roughly the same time you'd take to try and clear an entire three-wave battle for no guarantees on mat drops or currencies necessary to compete with what's being given out. That's what I mean by "not taking extra effort". Kapish? (Well, it'll take more time if you're the poor sod who thinks they should be maximising on Bond Points and filing a full 6 Servant party instead of prioritising clear time but that's your choice to extend the time needed for Servant selecting, not the event's design.)
I'm always of the idea that one should use the best tools available to them because the situation demands it. This means that if my usual farming comp can clear in faster time or clear more consistently, then it will be used. Only idiots think that they should negatively impact themselves to feel better about their actions. It's as if asking someone to duel me to a gun fight in any FPS game but then I only bring in or only use a knife because I like my knife's skin better. I don't do it because it incites more frustration than it does success. Just like how almost every bronze run to date is actually an exercise in frustration when I think about the number of fail states the person has probably went through to get that one clean successful run.

I didn't because there was a post on reddit by greathong that did that. Pretty much yeah, BG is too good, and only loses if you have low NP level or trying to use AoE NP for single target damage.
Edit: Also if you're able to use Versus instead, or are able to take advantage of Merlin + Chen Gong + Carmilla (Rider).
okay ho ho i looked at what Berserker would do best with such combo
holy shit Mori is broken, 2.49kk damage when maxed with BHG
unless my math is bad, it would be great if somebody could doublecheck my brave chain calcs
feels bad having maxed Nobunaga
Also Lu Bu does have Def Ignore and does not cost you a ton of money like Kintoki does and doesnt happen to be limited like Mori and even has star gather
in other words he is clearly the best option
even my main has him at np3 only, though i guess i might have a go at Demon Nobu and him during a rerun eh relatively soon
it also occurs to me that my Herk is already at NP2 so i might as well save the grails for no reason
if only my Nobu could inflict divinity upon my enemies
