Nzambi is called the Great Mother rather than grandma on the stories, but yeah after Helena and Europa I don't have faith in them of getting any granny looking servant, even if they decide to do someone like Baba Yaga for example

The name of the class is meant to give you an idea of what they are. It definitely worked for F/SN and so with almost every other Fate series. However, if there's one thing FGO has gone too far, it's that said classes in the game are too loose in interpretation.

Same with Alter Egos and Moon Cancers. They don't really need to be in the game as they're very specific. :shrug:

I mean, I'd like to agree with you that we don't need a thousand extremely specific classes but I'd also really like to see FGO actually just make use of classes it name-drops. If it's not mentioned, that's one thing. But it already is. So, why not just use it?

I suppose it is to mantain it relatively simple, you remember, in lore the classes where created by the counter-force itself, but there the candidate ACTUALLY represent their class.

If they were to add a new weapon based class at least make it something that covers stuff that cant easily fit in an existing class. Like a class that uses blunt weapons, cause right now guys with hammers, staffs and maces have no proper class.

I still think of those as Saber, yeah, if you have made a broad interpretation of Archer you can do it to Saber. That makes things simple.

Theseus, Sun Wukong, John Henry if you stretch your HS standards like FGO

I still take Lancer like use a weapon with a very long handle, so Sun Wukong, Medusa Lily are fine and even legendary people with a rake are Lancer to me.

Is a mix of "servants are summon in their prime" + "the prime of a woman is when they were beautiful and young" + "fanservice is markething" + "there is niche of old men but almost nothing about old women".




Btw. The only class that I have trouble to reconcile with actual FGO is Caster, I don't know what to make of it. The class of the diverse toolkit, the class of the IMAGINATION? the class of the special abilities?

Female characters only come in two forms in this game-loli or waifu. The most unconventional female character in the entire game is Jinako, though if the dino berserker from fate Requiem is added we'll get something truly out of the norm (assuming she doesn't get an ascension that turns her into a young woman or something)

Mordred is easy to understand. Upgrade Instinct so now she absorbs stars for her Buster cards for one turn, increases her Critical Damage for 3 times/3 turns and produces stars.

Mordred’s Instict replaced with Cigarette Lion. The Instict got stronger and know it gives star focus to Buster cards (1 turn) and crit damage buff (3 times, 3 turns)

Vlad’s Battle Continuation replaced with Shivering Immortal. Guts (1 time, 5 turns), Guts (1 time, 1 turn, can be applied together with other Guts), NP gain buff (3 turns).

Amakusa’s Revelation replaced with Prayer for a Long Journey. The revelation effect got stronger and can now be applied to any party member. Also NP gain buff (3 turns) for the Servant generating the stars.

And as for Jack's animation, they're quite good, but clearly meant for her to attack normal sized opponents, it looks weird when she attacks bigger enemies like the golem. Also she acts a bit more cute too.

Amakusa might be interesting if you're trying to use him as a buff removal tool that also provide stars.

EDIT: Can anyone remind me, is there even a need to run the coin booster or currency booster?
