This. Why a company wouldn't want to release content (assuming it's available) is crazy to me. This is the prime time to do so. You have a captive audience wanting something to do while in pseudo-lockdown.
They basically hold out on new gatcha until your so bored and itching to roll that when they do release new content you blow all your saved up quartz in one go.
Sounds... reasonable. Meanwhile, I get to save indefinitely.

At the rate things are going I would probably just hard save for swimsuits or something but I'm still looking for something worthwhile to dump QP into so the next thing that comes along that I like I'll dump quartz into. Worth mentioning that I did spend around 600 quartz for Shonagon but that was a total bust like usual.
With the way the rates are, I, personally, think I can only complain about rates if I spend 1000+ quartz and get no SSRs to show for it. That's the real worst case scenario. Anything less with nothing to show for it is within the range of expectations.

That does put you above 95% chance of SSR
Not quite there for the rate-up SSR, though

FGO really should implement a pity system as their gacha upgrade in this year's anniversary.
There's technically a pity system already in place in the unsummoned spirit origins but it's a really really awful one.
I guess it'd be a token of appreciation to whales. Wouldn't affect casuals much if the threshold is too high
Yeah, unsummoned spirit origins are a thing, but there mobages out there who also have their equivalent of USO and an actual pity system.

So every 1000 rolls you get an SSR of your choice
Yeah, but you'll need to have every single non-locked SSR at NP5 first to guarantee that you'll get a BSG every time you hit pity.

A guaranteed SSR every 100 rolls is way too good. If it were like that I'd expect something like every 200 at minimum. Which, mind you, is at least 546 Quartz assuming nothing but 11 rolls (and 2 singles). So not that helpful.
