In the end it's a matter of what supports you can use here IMO. It's easier to build a party with Ozy due to how solid he is, while Kintoki requires more support due to his fragility and lack of utility as he can only provide damage. Both are great units in the end.

Of course if you want to min turn with Skadi then use Kintoki, but personally I dislike min turning CQ because it's not fun, you basically skip the challenge doing that.

Oh, I though both buffs neede the Sun field. That's nice to know, I can easily provide the stars myself, so I don't care that much about the stars x turn not triggering.

Same but at the same time, I was finding it hardpressed to justify him being good because his double Merlin supports tend to do all of that job for him without him needing to do it himself. Anyways, with the news that the party Crit Damage buff doesn't need Sun stage, he's actually a strong contender for offensive support/second DPS. He'll still steal stars as a Rider but he at least can cover himself and still buff the team with Atk Up and Crit Damage Up. Plus, he can also use his NP to debuff the enemy with Def Down so your main damage dealer can more easily apply his damage... if he doesn't kill ASAP.

Honestly you're better off making him the main damage dealer, he works better that way (maybe if you use him with Cleopatra to make her IP guaranteed to land, it's not a bad pair).

The best pair though is with Hans, he's honestly the best support for him because both complement really well with each other.

Pretty fitting for Koyasu Servants.

Nice buffs all around. Though with all these Strengthenings, I wonder how much DW will increase the Strengthening reward cap. Many longtime players are gonna max out the reward at this point.

You still have that CC that gives +20% buff success chance. Between this and Ozy skill it's not hard to have Hans with a guaranteed chance to land his NP in my experience.

Based on the wording or what you've seen in action/on the datamine? I have Ozy, but I'm not doing any of the upgrades until another 1/2 AP upgrade thing rolls around or unless Bitch gets released early.

EDIT: Tested in Fuyuki, Atk Up buff only applies. Back to being semi-viable imo. But I'll sit on the niche comp thought for now.

Mashu, Lanling Wang and Asclepius are also nice options without relying on top tier supports.

Ozy's upgrade is potentially really good but more often than not it's just not going to be there for you which is disappointing.

Sanzang's is really meh but the short cooldown means it's going to have incredible uptime.

I don't like Bedi's because I really don't see the NP gen synergy in his kit.

I'm kinda curious about one thing with this upgrade. With upgraded NP1 Xuangzang, all skills at 10, 100 BHG, Anniversary Mystic Code and Raikou Lancer buffs, is it possible to one-shot Barbatos if you use Merlin as friend support? Or even better, with only Chen Gong's Buster up?

Also thinking about it, they could've slapped a "makes the field sunny" effect on Quetz's Charisma just for flavor

Nah, I say limit break it. I used to be the type that would say wait for the sixth copy, never for seven tho, that's too long of a wait. And that is what I did myself but if I were in the same position I was then today then I would immediately MLB - the power spike is too much to pass up.

Bedi can now support more strongly. Given that two of his three his skills are party buffs, you can run him as your offensive support and not lose out on a lot. Also, 30% NP Gain and 20% NP Damage Up on an Arts/Quick main DPS is quite good as well.

Arguably, he might be weaker in damage compared to other 30% Card Type supports but the NP Gain stacks multiplicatively and not many Servants that apply 30% NP Gain to party also apply 20% NP Damage Up (something many Servants don't normally have in their kit/supports).


EDIT: BTW, Bedivere as a main DPS still gains some benefit from NP Gain Up since you usually can't hit 100% NP Gauge for a Buster NP Servant the turn you use his NP. NP Gain Up just allows you to attempt to get the next 100% before the buff runs out. Otherwise, you can use it to try and generate enough NP gauge to be able to use his NP in the next 2 turns.

Easily. I was oneshotting Barbatos on NA with just maxed Black Grail, NP1 Sanzang, Merlin and lv 7 Arctic MC. Also Sanson for buff removal. Raikou Lancer makes things very easy.
With Chen Gong you need to dig that 20% NP charge from somewhere.

Oh yeah, I am missing some NP charge. Maybe one of the Mystic Codes that give 10% NP charge is a good replacement. I want to prepare a setup that requires the least amount of presses, and targettable skills add an additional press.

Edit: Damn it, I did some calculations and without support Merlin I can't guarantee a clear since I can't use the Anniversary Mystic Code plus that extra attack from his first skill, he has like 50K left if I roll low. With Merlin the kill is guaranteed though. Guess I will hope people put Merlin more than Castoria if the rerun happens because he needs less presses if you use him with Xuangzang due to only needing two skills and one is AoE.
