I never thought that Caenis behaved that way in the chapter due to some mistake by the devs and rather that it was very much so a conscious decision. She wasn't yet released at that point so I interpreted it as them not wanting to reveal their whole hand prematurely. She didn't even have a proper NP then, I'm pretty sure.

That sounds so weird. Caenis's other animations aren't spoilers so I don't see why they had to be hidden. What benefit was there to not showing the other animations/what negative effects would there be for reveling "their whole hand prematurely"? For unreleased units, wouldn't it be better to show the full animations to create anticipation for that unit?

The second option. We’ve seen this song and dance before when we were waiting for Yuga Kshetra. Though the current case is unquestionably worse because Waltz is a “collab” literally no one asked for.

5+ years of FGO and neither Proto-Perseus or Proto-Gil anywhere in sight. Then again Waltz is most likely a stop-gap measure given the internal clusterfuck at DW offices over the past year.

So what I'm getting from the last few pages is that FGO is about to die at any moment because no one including Nasu gives a shit anymore.

Either that, or people are overly dramatic because of a dead week and Waltz event coming up.

It's less "FGO is about to die at any moment" and more the gap between story releases, what people play the game for, is long, the things fillings the gaps is not being looked forward to, not many people were thrilled with FGO collabing with itself, and the things fillings the gaps between the things filling the gaps, dead weeks and hunting quests, are boring. This negatively affects people's enjoyment of the game.

I don't think they would do Prototype until they get around to actually making Prototype. The best option would of been Mahoyo. Or Extella Link.

But so are mana prisms. You can spend 40ap and get like 9 of them guaranteed. If they spent all their AP doing that, it'd take less than 3 weeks to hit 1k prisms. Compared to waiting a year or so (or getting it from the gacha), that seems far more reasonable.

Yeah, but NA is at the point where rerun welfares grant 5 RP per event. I'd agree that 1 RP is comparatively easier to get than 2k MP but both are pretty low bars.

They could lower the grind required too. I got lucky and rolled Moriarty, but I have no actual will to run a trillion inefficient nodes for QP, and then for the actual mats I'm lacking. It's way too monotonous and it sucks the life out of players.

Those RPs are only easy to get if you started playing years ago is the issue. Either make RPs easier to get for newer players so that they can get access to the old events they should be adding more to Main Interludes or make all that shit only cost MPs.

It would surprise me if a 2021 release of a game in a game genre that has become much more refined didn't look flashier than a game released in 2015 when the gacha game genre was still nascent.

I'm expecting it to be a mission event which I'm not looking forward to because we've been having way too many of them honestly. And they always have some stupid mission like Clear 10 battles in X place that has terrible drops or can't be easily 3 turn just to make you waste your time.

And as far as collabs go, one with Extella would have been nice, so we got Archimedes, Charlemagne and Karl in the game. Prototype was a nice second option too.

I still think FGO is running on a miracle by how little PR stuffs they done outside of streams and Anime Japan like events. Other mobages usually have stuffs like producer letter, development update, monthly previews, and such.

Tho I won't hazard a guess on how players actually view the game.

Yeah, Archimedes can expand on the Foreigners plot while Karl and Charlemagne will be mighty fine addition. But nope, we get Waltz and maybe Miss Crane as our unique servant.

I think they cash in on the initial fanbase, then expand it through the anime and movie that was running as the game is going on? People are grumbling now because they still care about the game, and this is amazing consider the out of date contents, poor scheduling and the horrible initial startup.
