On the matter of unremovable buffs and a bit on damage:

Speaking as someone who heavily uses Amakusa (NP5'd just recently, LV100, maxed Fou'd, decked w/ CCs) pretty much everywhere from 3-turn daily farming (outside of events) to challenge quests to solo runs, admittingly, he is not a very ‘usable’ unit or someone who gets picked for farming or min-maxing setups in FGO in comparison to more popular and easier examples. As far as NP goes, I believe that his NP damage is so-so at a base level (i.e., netural damage, non-grailed, 1000-Fou'd, etc.). Even so, he can be pretty spammy with it. Here, I’m mostly speaking about Amakusa in isolation.

Also, it's true that unremovable buffs makes Amakusa's buff removal less effective, especially when there are a lot or especially oppressive buffs, but the unremovable buff (in extension, break bar) mechanic has about just as much of an effect on other servants, I believe. Of course, there are some outliers who can pretty much brute force their way. It is just more apparent with Amakusa due it being a primarily clear-cut counter on paper (again, not that it didn’t impact Amakusa). Despite of this mechanic, removable buffs are still very prevalent and are part of the break bar, HP threshold, or turn-based mechanic, which can be manipulated or controlled to Amakusa's advantage.

In essence, unremovable buffs sort of levels the playing field, so to speak. They make quests interesting or difficult for some, thus affecting certain servants more than others in specific cases, whereas, on the other hand, other servants get to shine. While unremovable buffs lessened his NP's effectiveness, personally, I only see this is the case when there is an obscene amount of them or for just really annoyingly and commonly specific buffs that Amakusa simply cannot deal with in isolation.

Not related, but I always wanted a Baptismal Rite buff where it gives bonus damage against Servants, due to the fact that the skill can supposedly ‘sublimate’ Servants if used in conjunction with Amakusa’s NP arms, according to the mats. Also, it is too late probably, but his first skill should have had Charisma attached at his release, but oh well…

Well, she does get bad 2030 in skill form and skill 3 is synergistic with the scenarios where one would think to bring a Jeanne so it's not all hopeless. Skill 2 is one crying shame tho

Just to explain why I think my new phone's worse at playing FGO:

I can play the entirety of Arjuna Alter and Bradamante's NP animation no problem on my old phone. On the new phone, it stutters at specific spots. For Arjuna Alter, it's when we're pulling out from the spherical orb that the enemies are trapped in to show Arjuna Alter. For Bradamante, it's when she just appears dashing forward and showing her butt. My theory is that there's too much processing going on that the GPU can't handle each frame fast enough but my old phone could.

EDIT: Oh, and this is how the game looks like on my phone. I put it in spoiler to show you that I have black bars on either side of my screen so the game should be consuming less visual real estate that it needs to render.

EDIT 2: Actually, ignore all that. I just checked online. Wow, it has a way worse-off GPU than my older phone. That's really saying something there. 4 year old phone runs better than the newest mid-range phone. Yikes.

Nah, it's just that a GPU that came out some 3 years later has shittier performance in general. It has it's info published online. I should've checked that one up before jumping the gun on a new phone. Here I was thinking "Adreno 530 is smaller in number-count than 610 and the phone just came out, surely it'll be better or on par, right"? Apparently, I was comparing wrong. It's like comparing a GTX 1080 vs an RTX 2060. But skewed way more for the 1080.

Moneyback doesn't exist within this country. It's stupid, I know. You can't get a refund on what you buy. You can only sell it off second-hand for cheaper than what you paid for (I paid RM1799 for it btw).

granted i only ever returned a piece of hardware once, and it was a legitimately borked expensive e-book
