I have no opinion on PvP or whatever they're doing until I see it implemented. That being said, I'm not a fan of PvP in general and have always claimed that I'd quit FGO if any equivalent of PvP were to be implemented so.. lol.
So new weekly quests have "use saber" and "use caster" quests

This. Weekly quests don't really have a super strong correlation to an event that starts mid-week. They usually have some sort of theme like this so you know for sure the event is coming, but that's about it.
What we can be sure of is Liz will be freebie. Hope DW can surprise us.
Not really. Cinderella's story easily lends itself to the concept of multiple Ascensions. It would be strange if Eliza Cinderella stay with the commoner clothes throughout the entire thing.

Funny to see NA enjoy Saber Wars II so much after being there for Saber Wars II initial announcement and release on JP two years ago. Though admittedly, folks on the NA server had two years to cope with no new Halloween.

Folks in JP enjoyed SW2 quite a lot too (loss of welfare aside), most of the grumbling came from English forums where people couldn't really read the event anyway.
You might not be surprised to find this happens a lot.

I grumbled a lot when it was announced too.
Just tells you a lot about not judging a book by its cover, I suppose. The story turned out to be one of the better event stories at the time, which given how terrible the other Servant Universe stories were, was quite the suprise.
