I find it interesting that nobody has mentioned that Cu himself was only like a teen when this happened, and it's not even one of those things where he was considered a man by social standards back then, he's literally considered a boy all through out the Tain which occured after his trip to the Land of Shadows. So while, as a closeted pervert I can actively say "Nice work Cu, you got it on with three hotties" there is kind of a squemish thought that two of these women were distinctly older than him by a large margin.

I don't think there's an actual fixed point in the timeline for the Wooing of Emer.
Cu was 5 when he first went to Conchobar's castle
6 when he killed Culann's hound
7 when he "takes arms"
And 17 during the Cattle Raid of Cooley

He had Gae Bolg during the cattle raid though, so he must've already been through his training with her. Even so, like you say she was definitely older than him.

The Cattle Raid happened when Cu Chulainn was 17, but he killed his son before this.

It was remarked that he killed his son 8 years after having left the land of shadow (Scotland). So even assuming that this occured almost right before the Cattle Raid, that makes Cu Chulainn 9 when he fathered a kid with Aife.... Legends are kinda creepy at times.
