If they have the content ready then they will release it, their profit drops a lot during dead weeks so i honestly don't get people thinking they drag stuff just for the hell of it.

That is the main reason i think any content drought is due to the creative side. DW would be happy with a lostbelt release every 1-2 months

Well there is certainly some consideration to draw things out in terms of main story, but day-to-day stuff is not by any means being maliciosly slowed down

so i was trying to check out konosuba today but i think their server is a potato
funny thing, its min sys req is android 6.0 which made me think
emus that still run fgo are mainly 4.4 and 5.1, there are 7.1 versions but they are borked last time i checked (i couldnt make konosuba work there as well)
fgo sysreqs are fairly high so its likely that share of devices which operate on 4.4 and 5.1 cannot possibly be very high due to hardware limitations
therefore if DW raised min sys req above 5.1 not only they would btfo emulators at least temporarily, they could also probably afford to dump all anti-emu stuff until 7.0+ emus are back up
imagine performance gains

still i wonder about 4.4 5.1 share of FGO players
my tablet is 5.1 and while it can technically run fgo (i havent tried maybe it cant anymore but i can login and walk around the menu just fine at least last time i checked) it wasnt a pleasant experience even in the early years

I mean I get it, they aren't some mustache-twirling villains (most of them anyway), but I still find it quite puzzling. They have more experience, technical and creative resources than ever, but their productivity is at it's lowest. They must be really afraid of Nasu's retirement from the project.

while there may be slowness on creative side which affects monthly schedule, the main issue is likely just technical debt - meaning game's inner workings are so complex/fucked up it takes unreasonable amount of time to implement new features
