Maxwell is obviously the bigger priority but I wouldn't be unhappy with Mitsunari.
I didn't miss the point at all. Just like with Halloween, people will constantly say "where's Halloween" or "I'd have preferred Halloween". And just like with Halloween, you can absolutely fault them for it not being a Christmas event, because that's what people want. Sorry, but "not doing what people want" isn't a good thing.
Also, if they can't think of a Christmas themed Servant, they can't think of another event theme either, so they should just hand it off to someone who can. It's literally less effort and less thinking, and if they can't even think that, then they're just bad.
This, no way Maxwell comes before Redline ends.
Girls' Work remains unfinished, even as something else.
Nah, you still missed the point completely. This isn't Halloween case. People were mad because they did not get a welfare from Saber Wars 2, not because of no more halloween. An announcement directly saying no Halloween then following up with an event without a welfare gives the wrong impression. None of that is the case if they don't do anything for xmas without ever claiming xmas is no more, it leaves room for them to be FLEXIBLE with what they can do by the end of a year. In fact, last year there was no xmas since LB7 was due for release and they rerun Karna xmas even earlier to fill the slot. If this year they simply go straight into OC2 you can't fault them either. That's the point. Xmas is secondary to whatever is coming with the main story taking the slot, and they can very well do it again, or pitch other alternatives.
lol for claiming everyone wants a christmas event specifically, literally just over-generalizing. Not everyone celebrates xmas, buddy. People want the event because 1) a welfare should be guaranteed and 2) raffles. Raffles are now starting to be moved to different types of events instead of just Nerofes reskin and xmas, so they can definitely put a non-xmas event in the slot with a welfare. Also lol x2 for claiming it has to be an xmas theme or they suck, why can't it be a winter theme event, an ice-based event, an event to bridge to the new year, why does it have to be tied to a specific religious celebration. All I can see is that you want xmas, you want Santa cosplay servants, and you don't like it when different ideas are raised. That's your opinion, and I don't have to agree with. Also, if they can't think of a Christmas themed Servant, they can't think of another event theme either, so they should just hand it off to someone who can. It's literally less effort and less thinking, and if they can't even think that, then they're just bad.
Speak for yourself, a lot of people love the theme of Halloween.
I absolutely can and will. OC2 isn't worth losing Christmas, and you don't get to decide if others can fault them or not. You aren't the authority on this. I'm not claiming to be either, but I'm also not telling people they aren't allowed to fault a company for a decision, so...If this year they simply go straight into OC2 you can't fault them either.
How you going to say someone shouldn't overgeneralize, and then overgeneralize that no one wants a Christmas event?People want the event because 1) a welfare should be guaranteed and 2) raffles.
That's fine, and that's your opinion. The fact that the vast, VAST majority of gacha games do Christmas/Santa events shows you're in the extreme minority here though, and that it clearly isn't about religion. That's your opinion, and I don't have to agree with.
Personally, Halloween is restricting itself too much with mandatory Liz for each year. At least Christmas has plenty of room with different characters becoming Santa of each year. Sure, Oniland proves that they're open for other characters, so it's not impossible to be more diverse, and Liz will soon run out of alternate versions. That, and they'll risk to contradict Nine Tattoo-Dragon's NP as to why it doesn't include newer Lizzies.
Speak for yourself, a lot of people don't love the theme of Halloween. How are you so sure everyone love it, do you have statistics, did you survey every FGO players? I can say the opposite. You're not proving anything here.
The whole point is that they have OPTIONS. If they want to do Xmas they can do Xmas, if they don't want to do Xmas then they don't have to. Your precious xmas and santa cosplays aren't going anywhere, it becomes an option they can go with. You're not the authority to force them to make the events that you want. Be prepared just in case this new Gudaguda becomes a valid option in the Xmas event slot. Enjoy more Japanese servants.
Since when did I say you cannot complain? You can complain but it's not their obligation to give you xmas, buddy. They can do w/e they want, you cannot fault them for not giving you an xmas event they never promised in the first place.I absolutely can and will. OC2 isn't worth losing Christmas, and you don't get to decide if others can fault them or not. You aren't the authority on this. I'm not claiming to be either, but I'm also not telling people they aren't allowed to fault a company for a decision, so...
Since when "not everyone" means "no one"? Did English change meaning when I wasn't looking? How you going to say someone shouldn't overgeneralize, and then overgeneralize that no one wants a Christmas event?]
Genshin doesn't do any of these events and nobody cared, still successful, heck they didn't even bother doing coomerbait swimsuits for summer. The last time they did an event coincide with xmas was the Albedo event with the snow mountain theme and big lores, that people praised a lot for. The only seasonal events they do are CN new year and summer, and only CN new year is what you can consider a regional thing, yet still most of the themes are about visiting your relatives to celebrate the new year that everyone can relate to and not specifically catering to Chinese culture. That's fine, and that's your opinion. The fact that the vast, VAST majority of gacha games do Christmas/Santa events shows you're in the extreme minority here though, and that it clearly isn't about religion.
If FGO writers can't even get more creative then Genshin, then I have no hope for this game after part 2 ended.
You don't need to explicitly use Halloween or Xmas the festival to have an event fitting the occasion, that's the point GDB still refusing to understand. Honkai Star Rail does a big ghost theme event atm and despite it is a few days late for Halloween, the theme fits the occasion to a tee. SMT Dx2 did an event where you help Odin defeat demons who is terrorizing ppl with blizzards while riding his Sleipnir, he is literally playing Santa role without the event directly spelling xmas out.
You can definitely be creative with these seasonal events without the repetitive dresssing chars in halloween/xmas cosplays.
Where did I say everyone loves it? I merely said that there are people who like the Halloween ascetic. You're the one who said people only liked Halloween for the welfare. YOU'RE the one speaking in absolutes here, not me.
Again, you literally said "you can't fault them". That's saying I can't complain. I didn't say they had an obligation, just that it'd be stupid not to, and I can fault them for that. Again, you do not have the authority to tell me or anyone else they cannot fault them.Since when did I say you cannot complain? You can complain but it's not their obligation to give you xmas, buddy. They can do w/e they want, you cannot fault them for not giving you an xmas event they never promised in the first place.
You said "People want the event because 1) a welfare should be guaranteed and 2) raffles." That's the part where you overgeneralize, once against assuming just like you did for Halloween that no one cares about the theme or the event itself and just the rewards.Since when "not everyone" means "no one"? Did English change meaning when I wasn't looking?
THERE IT IS. I knew this was all because of your obsession with mihoyo. Not everything is about mihoyo. And with that, I will not be responding to you anymore since you clearly aren't actually reading and just trying to assert your opinion as fact. Good day.Genshin doesn't do any of these events and nobody cared
We were talking about the Saber Wars 2 incident, and back then the key thing that broke people was no welfare. People was skeptical about no halloween at first but had hope that the SW2 event will have a hidden welfare to make up for it, and when no welfare is revealed, they broke. Stop ignoring the point yet still claiming to have understood it.
Since when complaining about things not going one's way is the same the other party being at fault? You can complain about something you don't like, but they didn't do anything faulty. They didn't promise you more Liz nor more Santa cosplays.Again, you literally said "you can't fault them". That's saying I can't complain. I didn't say they had an obligation, just that it'd be stupid not to, and I can fault them for that. Again, you do not have the authority to tell me or anyone else they cannot fault them.
So you're saying an xmas event without welfare and raffles would fly, yes? People wouldn't complain that FGO is being lazy and not giving out enough welfare quota right? You said "People want the event because 1) a welfare should be guaranteed and 2) raffles." That's the part where you overgeneralize, once against assuming just like you did for Halloween that no one cares about the theme or the event itself and just the rewards.
Lmao so you just see genshin and automatically act like a classic hater. There is literally nothing wrong of bringing examples of other games who are doing it better without santa cosplays and bikinis. If they can be still as successful as they are without those, why can't FGO try and be as creative if not more? You think TM writers are that bad? You just don't like the truth that a game can do well without all that you claimed.THERE IT IS. I knew this was all because of your obsession with mihoyo. Not everything is about mihoyo. And with that, I will not be responding to you anymore since you clearly aren't actually reading and just trying to assert your opinion as fact. Good day.
You don't want MHY? How about SMT Dx2 like I replied to Glory above? Odin is one thing but during the summer they released Tiamat as the demon for summer theme and all water-based demons get story involving them.
Everytime I bring in valid examples of other games and other devs doing it better, that is because I still have hope that this game can still be greater, buddy. If I no longer care about it I wouldn't be here. You are free to stop caring and consume w/e they put out.

Yeah that's why I am posting these lol. The potentials are a lot, just not getting utilized. That is part of why I keep making references to MHY games. It's not because I am obsessed with them, but rather because I truly believe this franchise and this game could have been even more successful. MHY literally went in from blank state with zero brand recognition, no strong series recognition, so why can't TM be better?
Ugh another Gudaguda?
Anyone else tired of these events? I liked events like the Vietnam and Australia ones. Gudaguda is the same thing all over again. We already have two versions of Okita and Nobu, a swimsuit version two versions of Ryoma and two skins for Izo. Give it a rest already. If they want some new running gag, they need something new.
What about the Fate/School Life manga? That Lei Loi design was really good and it has the same silliness as Gudaguda.
Gudaguda are some of the few consistently decent events. Ozzie event was just straight up shit, no more of that thanks.
Not a fan of the wacky part of Gudaguda(especially because FGO humor boils down to each servant having one joke that is consistently repeated ad nauseam) but i like the more serious parts like info on japanese characters and we always get 3 new servants with them also not unusual that old servants that are very popular like Okita or Nobunaga get new versions
Only gripe is that OC2 is coming later, perhaps even January which would mean first year with only one story update
