Oberon deserves it cause Nasu said so. He is designed by his idol famed for Honey and Clover, who is also known for having real issues with people. He only managed to get a meeting with her thanks to Mafia Kajita, so if Nasu wants his idol's character as anii servant, what makes you think DW can say no?

Fortunately, Nasu's insanity seems to only extend to writing fuckhuge stories and forcing DW to cram them into the game somehow. We have no evidence he actually influences what in-game Servants turn out like, or when.

Nasu runs a pretty tight ship. I have no doubt that he does get to have a say on servants and what they can do. We know from an interview that type moon tells DW which servants to give animation upgrades to and its likely they do this for SQ buffs as well.

I also very much doubt that T-M simply tells DW who gets animation updates/SQs and when, if only because that would be tantamount to literally telling them how to do their jobs. They work together (as proven by the constant collaboration campaigns/accompanying animation updates).

Nasu gave the instructions to buff what servants, be it skill wise or animation wise. It once caused an uproar when the guy believed that instinct is a very good skill and should not be touched. Also, an interview long ago revealed that TM says no to NP skip even though DW has a prototype ready, so there.

Also, Kiara, Liz and Medb says hi when you think Nasu has no influence over what in-game Servants turn out like, or when.

People really underestimates the control Nasu has over DW. Sure, DW screw up sometimes, but they are also used as a shield for Nasu's mess up as well. Personally, I felt that 2 lack the guts to tell Nasu what he thinks, about his poor control with schedule etc which led to the mess of long waits.

Golden Rule is something I wish they'd start improving, but dunno if I'd rather have that over how meh Voyager of the Storm is.
