Oh wow I didn't remember that at all.
Oh wow I didn't remember that at all.
Yeah fate Medusa's story isn't something nasu made so he'd avoid the rape parts, it's actually how it was in earlier stories, he just took the easy one.
Yeah, but now people are going to use "lore" as a rebuttal whenever someone tries to correct them. "Their profile leaves it ambiguous as to whether Caenis physically changed into a man, so that means she could've just been a woman who presented as a man like Artoria and therefore it's not incorrect to use female pronouns."
It's nonsense that ignores fundamental context, but it's a thought process that'll add an additional layer of frustration to those conversations. Like, that little detail probably isn't going to significantly increase the amount of people that hold that position, but it will encourage those already predisposed to it.
That is a point in favor of it happening, but Maou Nobu's design doesn't lean nearly as heavily on skimpy fanservice as Caenis's does. Their first two ascensions are fairly androgynous, so their design can change from female to male without much difference. On the other hand, the sheer amount of exposed skin Caenis has would necessitate a more... apparent shift in design.
Well, you're not wrong. That is probably the amount of thought most players will put into it.

Caenis is a girl though
Caeneus is a dude
And Vergil has him revert to a she in the underworld anyway so w/e
Didn't Ophelia use female pronouns tho? I heard something like that from friends playing NA
In the opening scene of Russia, Ophelia calls Caenis he then backtracks and says she. Kirsch meanwhile keeps saying he. Given Kirsch's attitude I assumed he was the one misgendering and Caenis goes with female pronouns. I really know very little of Fate Caenis though.
Hoping despite the odds for a Caeneus ascension, would be neat.
Ophelia did, but Wodime answers her using male pronouns and I believe Caenis uses male ones as well (though I'm not sure about the last one).
I'd trust her Master to know more about it than Ophelia.
Actually what pronouns did Jason use
That's the only one that matters

Romani calling Da Vinci a pervert and using male pronouns for her was weird because it vanished after the first couple singularities, but not like a character development vanish, more like it just stopped without comment.
