This is the last year I'll hold out hope for a Summer Ereshkigal. They had their fun mocking her in the Carnival episode about not having one, after teasing it with official art and a small audio drama, so if she doesn't get it now I'll just give up entirely.
Nah the eligibility is simply "One year after their debut" so everyone barring maybe Oberon is fair game.

That said, I'd really like some sort of obon themed summer event that's basically just Case Files part 2 with Eresh, Gray, Reines, and Luvia, with a cameo from Waver. Honestly, with Gray's connection to Morgan, they could still fit her and Baobhan in along with someone else and still keep the theme.
It's going to be Morgan, YK Tristan, Melusine, Schez, Astraea, Wu (ugh), and Castoria.

This will be the last summer event, so now is the moment to pick up on the meaningful foreshadowing. That is, Cleopatra and Yang Guifei. There's probably like 30 joke summer teases out there, but these two are the only ones where the summer tease was made in a serious manner.
I doubt that'll happen when Bazett isn't even in yet.

Bazett could have come in an Hollow Ataraxia collab except Caren jumped the gun. Unable to add two new characters, Hollow Ataraxia collab and thus Bazett becomes unlikely.

Yeah I have to agree, even after the Lostbelts are over there's no way the servers are going anywhere
because Type-Moon is working on things other than Fate starting from 2021.
Implementing a pity system shows that FGO is, so to speak, not long for this world. The team actively took pride in it being the only popular gacha game without one. The servers will keep going until it's unprofitable to run them, but it won't aspire to "artistic achievement in the gaming medium" anymore, inasmuch as it does now
Nasu is the one who said he's stepping down from FGO after part 2. We have absolutely no idea what the other writers will do for TM content after that point, and I think assuming that the game just shuts down with Nasu stepping down (to the extent that he will, considering we've all heard this before) is naive, considering it's not like it's a one-sided decision to be made on TMs or even Nasu's part himself. Game makes a shitload of cash, even with Nasu stepping down and handing over story management to the other writers it'll probably rake in pretty decent sums still. That's not something big corporations like aniplex, sony, and whoever else are gonna throw away because one guy felt he was done.
The end of part 2 is going to be interesting. How will FGO try to survive without Nasu?
