As to the lag, it can get pretty bad especially when the animation for your Tokugawa MC fills up but it hasn't been quite as bad as you described for me. The one bright spot for this is that the event doesn't require you to do much farming as you can complete the bulk of the shop just opening up the labyrinth. So just playing through it should provide you with most of what you need then you can just peace out of it.

Not me. I've checked on my old phone (Xperia XZ) and no problems. It freezes for like 0.5s whilst loading whenever I move between rooms during exploration but nothing too serious that it's considered "lag".
