Nah, any crit rate down at this point of the game is good. Crits are pretty much 1 or 2-Hit KO because of the damage some bosses do, so any time you see that Crit Miss text is one time you are spared from restarting the quest.

I guess that also means the other upgrades are skill upgrades not NP upgrades (or NP upgrades that only strengthen damage/existing effects, not add new ones)
no NP upgrade for okita!

Yeah, so far the only missing NP upgrade seems to be Caster Gil. The rest seems to be skill upgrades.

Not all the content favors tanks, case in point any AoE boss. You really don't want to be hit with an AoE crit, this goes for both your supports and your Berserker. And yeah, it's possible to bring Raikou in those fights. Her normal attacks hit hard due to EAM, the Crit Up in her NP and the damage buffs in her skills, making her a good boss killer too. Keeping her alive is possible, but not if you keep getting hit by crits.

He got buffed? I thought it was Darius and Raikou

Datamine revealed that he has an additional slot for an extra effect in his NP which he didn't have before, that's why we know it's him. Same happened with Raikou.

The special invincibility that has been datamined, what makes it special is that it skips all checks from invincibility break and no dodge. Basically, it cannot be bypassed at all. It's pretty obvious who's getting an upgrade in the last day just for that description.

We hadn't seen Salome before her appearance last anniversary so showing up beforehand wouldn't be a requirement to be an anniversary bronze.

I'm pretty sure the majority of that batch were never-before-seens, it was just like Gareth-chan and uuhhh...

Only Paris and Salome were new, the rest appeared as NPCs in story and events, or in a trailer for Corday.
