Interesting. Usually, the 3-turn post-SQ bonus for NP buffs generally are like 20% Buster Up/Resist Down or some such. Kintoki sacrifice one turn to make it 30%. Same total bonus-to-turn value but it front-loads all the effect over 2 turns. The problem is that it applies after the NP. So, that's a Sadge if I ever saw one.

I don't really care about the value more than that an NP upgrade that was largely just more damage was the last thing Kintoki needed. Improved stun chance would have been nice, or improved Monstrous Strength to be more like, say, Li Shuwen (Assassin)'s Attack Up skill, Animal Dialogue to be more like Saber Lancer's battery, and frankly anything that could be done to improve his third skill.

this np upgrade is as good as he could have possibly gotten

He can really only NP twice in a row anyway, in a practical sense so the higher values but for 2t is probably a slight win for him. Shame it doesn't apply before damage but you take what you get.

There's some merit to having it 3 turns since it's also a source of damage reduction. But yeah, we take what we get.

Yeah, that's more an issue with Buster as a whole than this effect itself.

i mean even for buster 3 turn effects are more favorable now than 1 turn effects

i have to agree, it does seem like another shuten is coming, because neither one we currently have can make any decent use of this

If Shuten appears then the most likely class will be Berserker, but I'm not sure if she will even appear. There's some people claiming that Saber Raikou will appear in this event too, something about a datamine which I always doubt.

LOL, that reminds me that the only reason Caster Gilles got a skill upgrade was so in the CQ he would spam it against us constantly, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason she's getting one.
