Vanilla Saber's meh. Well...its nicely drawn, its just that, it lacks impact or majesty?
Penguin King with the ahoge suppressing crown & plain blue cape looks boring design wise.

Lancer Alter actually never looked like a Saberface so I blatantly disregard it. Which is unfortunate since I believe that Takeuchi would have done a better job for the face and body... though not sure how good he is with the horse.

I personally felt that the final ascension art was soothing. It doesn't show her stiff face as she would have in Zero but instead shows a much gentler face.

Vanilla Aurtoria is King Aurtoria at her best, majestic but not stiff, though the crown is really dumb. The cape on the other hand, is not.

Capes look cool on anything, they're usually just not practical.

Like I said, it is indeed nice. Its just that I've gotten tired of her default look due to over use/exposure & her ascension didn't really add anything eyecatching or interesting & just made me look at her like she's puffier. Like Nobu with her overly large pants, hat & cape, its like a kid trying hard to fit into the big kids clothes (or in her case "kingly").
That's why I'm rather fond of her different alterations & I find the latest BUNBUN designed one extra nifty.
If we want majestic capes then Iskander's one of the better examples. Firey red with intricate gold designs, it gives shota Alex extra style & majesty.
To be honest, I would have preferred the second sprite to be her armored but with Invisible Air still active and her third to be without. The final art could remain the same. Anyhow, I'm using her second battle sprite because I am just too used to that outfit than her third.
And I was commenting on the final ascension art, really. Not the battle sprite.

Makes kid Waver better too, though I would prefer seeing him wearing the cape in adult form.
The only Saberface that I find remotely close to the word "Sexy" are Jeanne and Nero.

True. Although Waver really should get a chinese general costume change, Rider's cape should fit nicely enough with their detailed robes.
