Oh, completely. Not that it won't help you for a lot of things, but likeability is a useless thing to concentrate on. Empathy is the requirement, not sympathy.

If I didn't miss something, you were talking between distinguishing between characters that can extoll empathy from you, and those that you simply "feel" for.

And I'm saying that the distinction is mostly unnecessary when I can think of very few TM characters that belong to the second category.
